Supposedly? Apps don’t have “primetime” they’re standalone. DAZN would want a Lomachenko fight for their back catalogue. That’s general interest..

Oh well, sorry Teofimo! It's either Commey or 140!

I’m kinda worried for Campbell though he’s talented but always tends to be in the right place at the wrong time, he may be one of those guys who’s destined to not win a world title.
Honestly, Linares is good but nothing special and Campbell had his shot there. He has no chance against the likes of Garcia or Lomachenko, but maybe could have beaten someone like Easter Jr. Dude will be 32 years old when this fight happens so this very well may be his last title shot.

It cuts out the guy ranked #2 and forces him to fight 2 fights when he should be in the title fight now that the title has been vacated.

It also puts Campbell in with a guy he has no chance to beat rather than a an opponent that he has about a 55/45 chance to beat that would be a better fight for fans to watch than a blowout.

          Just my opinion.

yeah phuk him I'm more talking about Haney lol but technically this Abdullaev guy was 1 spot above him. Still seems unfair the vacant belt always goes to the top 2 available contenders not a belt holder outside the WBC. Now whoever was going to be fighting Campbell for the vacant the WBC knows will be screwed and shut out for a title shot for long time.

What has Zaur Abdullaev done to earn a #2 ranking or a title shot of any sort?

If that was the case, then they would have aired Whyte/Chisora. I mean that was the reasoning given by Hearn that DAZN didn't want to spend money on a fight that would be aired in the afternoon in the US with a limited audience.

Um what? DAZN doesn't have prime time? What does that even mean?

If that is your opinion fine. but as f now he is ranked #2 and instead of getting a shot for the vacant title he has 3 fight 2 eliminators for a chance to fight for the title.

                  Just seems unfair.

I hope so, but if given a choice, would Commey want a unification with Loma, for all the belts, or fight his mandatory, which hopefully is Teofimo Lopez?

Forget even that, I don't think he could have fought anyways with Ramadan starting up. Then again, if they push it to September then he should be fine, but he can't start camp until after June 4th.
