I'm a big Golovkin fan, but I can't deny how great of a fighter Canelo is. He just gave up a height, reach and weight advantage to a very talented, BIG, powerful middleweight opponent and he schooled him throughout most of the fight! Canelo is right at the very top of the best fighters in boxing...He's top 3 or 4...and I have no problem with anyone considering him as the very best right now. He's earned it.

        Nah.

B-HOP does not have the power to make Canelo think twice...

It would be a very good fight

Hopkins is crafty and roughhouse, Canelo himself doesn't have the power either to make Hopkins think twice. This fight would be the reincarnation of B-Hop/Pavlik...

No mw since prime Hagler has had the balls of Canelo and he deserves the status as the best 73kg/160lbs lad on the planet.
Its the viewers and fans who decide and they think GGG beat Nelo twice. So Nelo isn't going to be better at 160 than GGG. GGG has beat more 160 guys also.
So nelo may one day be a higher ATG but not better 160 guy.

              Hagler didn't need PEDs.

Nelo got the nods against top MW opponents with help from judges...

                And he only destroyed Fielding...

Hell of a fighter though, he just can't beat GGG without help from the judges. A mid 30s GGG at that.
GGG fans complain that Canelo barely wins or could not dominate anyone especially GGG. Well the same argument can be made about GGG. He could not dominate or ko a smaller Canelo and went life and death with him. So close that he could not get a clear, obvious win. Robberies are like Bradley vs Paq 1 or Foreman vs Briggs. Both Canelo GGG fights were close, but I would argue Canelo won the second fight by coming at GGG and backing the bigger, harder puncher up.

What does it say about GGG's confidence in himself or his handlers confidence in GGG that he constantly has to fight bums because he does not want to risk losing and thus not getting Canelo rematches. GGG is afraid if he fights someone with a pulse he might lose. What kind of confidence is that? That kind of behavior is not someone who believes he is the best.

Canelo on the other hand fights the best available opponents even though he knows he has a potential big money rubber match with GGG. Why, because he believes in his abilities and knows he can beat any top middleweight. Totally different attitude compared with GGG.
