Forget those PBC shills claiming instability. I find it funnier how these guys assume app buying is some rocket science procedure.

Any Latinos that get together to watch Canelo, assuming a non-family, but a group of guys and some hoes, it’s most likely that several of them by now realize that aside from one of them hosting the big screen, some still have the option to have it “on them” via mobile device. Word of mouth is “yeah dawg I downloaded the app.” Most people have good phones, language is insignificant.

So the question is, why are there many making an app buying procedure impractical?

... The situation is a little more complicated... "Perform Group" (which initially owned DAZN) started 12 years ago... Now DAZN Group is selling "Perform" to Vista (which will merge it with STATS), in a move designed to fund acquisitions of more live sports rights for its streaming business... So, basically, DAZN signed those huge contracts (Canelo's etc) based on "future money" (from Vista, as it appears)...

The move to go global and hit the American market requires these procedures. People forget that DAZN is still establishing, trying to land in other unwanted territories. This is why the jargon for selling parts of its business to gain trust from other markets is important. And you’re right, that’s all investment. Canelo Alvarez and Joshua are commodities to the sports world. Also sales to different territories is a long and ongoing process of politics. For instance, if DAZN could land in South Korea, aside from Japan already... blah blah blap!!! Haymon would start wearing a do-rag slanging the streets to find more money.

... man, the actual "battle" is on the U.S. TV / online streaming market...

... CBS (Showtime), Fox hold a combination of TV/online streaming... and so does ESPN...

... while DAZN provides online streaming "only"...

“Online” is not synonymous to streaming. Mobile data is a different protocol than online internet. We are in an era of remote convenience and most consumers want mobile convenience. The Japanese have proven this even back to 15 years ago where the average citizen had two cell phones. This is why DAZN is a success in Japan with a mil subs, plus they like combat sports.

DAZN presence in the American market has always been foreshadowed to be the Netflix of sports because you have to offer different and better resources of entertainment. That starts with investing in the right sports stars to get things going.

Sure most Americans, whom are ruralites that surpass urban city populations are the ones that watch traditional TV... there’s a reason why MLB - the great American sport - has been incorporated into.

As far people comparing movie catalogs to DAZN whom only want to focus on a saturated sports market don’t realize that when DAZN grows they’ll start a new brand just for that.

The people that were going to sign up for 9.99 for one month then quit just for big fights provide no value for Dazn so make them pay 20 because why? They will still pay it come fight day because its 60 bucks cheaper than ppv
Oh yeah, most companies plan on removing free trials and doubling the costs in the first six months.

                Jesus Christ haha

PBC shillers should know that in fast food menus, when you buy individual items they cost more than a ''value meal.''

It's interesting how PBC shillers never state that $99 divided by 12 saves more money than their previous offer. The $20 month options like a pay-as-you-go option and opt out whenever you want is also cost effective and practical compared to $80 PPVs.

But as I said many times on the forum, these high-school dropouts need to brush up on maffffs.

Idk what DAZN costs in the other 9 countries. Idk how much anything they've bought rights for in other countries cost. I do know DAZN is operating at a loss cuz you don't move this fast in a competitive sphere like DAZN is in without operating at a loss.

So I'd be super curious to know how much DAZN costs in other countries + how much they've spent like I know more about in the US to fully explore how DAZN is reallllllly doing in the countries they've been in longer.

And PPV is clearly not dead but yea streaming is the future. Who knows if DAZN will be the king of sports doe cuz this sh^t is still in its infancy & we are probably a decade away from a king being crowned.
canelo has not been paid all the money in his contract...what the hell you smoking ...it’s divided into a fight by fight purse and canelo still has x amount of fights which will take him over 4 years to complete so equate canelos purse to that lol and than is not including the purchases you make just on event by event ..plus the model for DAZN will only get bigger and bigger...it has canelo , Joshua , Golovkin , Jacobs , usyk , Andrade , Haney....those first 3 names right there are the biggest stars in boxing by a mile lol
PPV has died now and that’s why HBO pulled the plug

                    • Why sub to this DAZN crap when you can just stream it easy, f**k Hearn and f**k the greedy portion of boxers who will make DAZN flop. Not my fault they want to earn 8-10 million for fighting tune-ups.
