Have to say I'm not sure I believe them though. If they really wanted the fight in the first place, why weren't they all over social media calling AJ out. Especially after all that's been said. Why aren't they or their promoter on the phone desperately trying to get the fight back now? It's obvious they were first choice.

It's laughable the promoter called the $5m offer a low ball. Did they think it wouldn't find its way into the media and expose them as full of ****? They tried to squeeze more thinking they had Hearn by the balls and it seems to have backfired spectacularly.

All these ignorance they exhibiting is basically to make someone look like a scape goat for making Ortiz duck this fight.

Thou I have said this before and I will say it again without missing words, the only reason this fight isn't happening is because Ortiz is cycling off PEDs.

      Full stop.

      • someone has sold Ortiz down the river on this one.. or he's not off his cycling mission yet( training for the Tour de France)

        • This is haymons doing and this end result, as messy as it looks, is exactly to his plan. Hearn is sending offers that are too good to complain about anymore so unfortunately haymon needs scapegoats and people that are prepared to be thrown under a bus on his behalf so it can all look like clerical errors or somebodies bad call.

But ortiz was to be kept away from this fight at all costs. That's why his direct team wernt even invited to negotiate they were told to sit tight and trust the promoter.

              1. Jay Jiminez, his manager/trainer, was all over the place. He's complaining about the promoter not accepting the fight and when Nes asks him why not call Al and get him involved he said he doesn't get involved in that. But he also said he was in meetings with Hearn and the promoter and had words with both of them.

              2. The lowball offer statement comes from
-the short period of time Luis has to train, he's taking less than Miller even though Miller had more time to train
-There's $30 million in the fight so they felt $5 was low

              3. Ortiz has money. So that $500k people keep referencing is nowhere near the amount he made for fighting Wilder. It was much more.

              4. Ortiz is not active on social media. Jay Jiminez and his son run the account. So that $10 mil post was either Jiminez or his son

              5. Luis trusts his promoter because his promoter has never led him wrong. He promised Luis he'll get him $5 mil for a Wilder fight. If he doesn't deliver he's in breach of contract

If Luis really wants the fight he's gotta tell his promoter to get the damn fight. He's gotta stop being passive.
Lolsss, you are an ldiot...******ed PBC dumbass paid shill...no one takes you serious.

Team Ortiz needs to now beg Hearn to bring the offer back to the table.
Yes Ortiz now needs to ensure he gets the fight as that's the one we all want to see. no one wants to see bums Ruiz or Bryan get a beating as that ain't even worth watching.

That was my point. It wasn’t a lowball offer but people wanted to call it one and acted like anyone who tried to say it wasn’t was acting ridiculous

I'm with you guys. These are people Haymon conducts his business through imho, just like Finkel, di Bella et al.

                    • Just like I thought. This has nothing to do with Haymon. It makes no sense at all to even say that.

This is about Eddie Hearn right now. Offering $7-8 million??? Ok, send them the contract so they can see it in writing. For all the Wilder haters out there, (Which by the way has nothing to do with Ortiz) look at it like the $50 million Wilder offered Joshua, but didn't send a contract. (Not a real offer, right?)

                      Like Ortiz's trainer said:

"But let me be clear—and this is Luis’ exact place on this (subject)—if Eddie shows us a real contract with no games, we will gladly take that fight, whether June 1 or after that.”
