Not sure why anyone would be surprised about that, Wilder himself already said it, i have enough fighters on PBC to freeze you out for two years.

He would only fight people who are either a free agents or signed to PBC.

So don't expect the Joshua fight for the next two years, if they are still both champions, and once he decides he is now ready for the fight, his PBC loyalists would be shouting on top of their voices.

"Why don't they want the fight" "What is Joshua scared of" "Wilder said he would fight anywhere" those quotes or along that same line.

haymon has promised Ortiz wilder/Ortiz 2 on ppv...where Ortiz will likely make close to, if not the same, money he would have for AJ

its logical...its in house and helps wilder.....and since you UK fgts say wilder is easier pickings it will be easier for him to pick up the WBC belt and then go to AJ with that in toe....if he loses to AJ in june its likely a wilder fight has no luster anymore and is off the table

smartest route for Ortiz but yall way too dumb to understand it...yall thought 12.5 was a smart deal for wilder cause its like "5000x his highest payday doe"...

      friggin dumb fgts

lol everytime you see WBC WBA IBFraud 's name on these forums, he's probably trying to convince people that wilder or ortiz earned 10 times the published amounts from their last fights.

This'll be the second time Ortiz has chosen to avoid AJ to fight Wilder at some point, this fella is all talk.

I predicted this would happen. Ortiz never had any intentions of taking the fight in the first place. It didn't matter how much he was offered or how some have suggested was cheating; It wouldn't have mattered. This wasn't a coincidence that he turned the offer down.

if wilder vs ortiz 2 is the master plan from gaymon then im rooting for brazzers for the upset
i don't think wilder/Ortiz 2 was the master plan by haymon....but plans change and shift constantly when other fighters do things.... and when fury ran to TR and espn and put a block on that rematch I think haymons plan shifted

u must understand the difference between a master plan and adjusting on the fly...furys action may have caused this reaction by haymon...he now needs something decent for a ppv fight if they cant lock down good terms/deals for aj and fury soon

I don't think the result would be different..but the way the anti wilder/pro AJ crowd have talked about the first fight Ortiz just gassed and wilder got lucky(even though this a complete crock)...by their logic maybe Ortiz can "finish the job" this time? some of them acted like wilder was in real serious trouble( I don't agree...he was in some yes) so you've got a guy that had wilder in real serious trouble and there aren't many others that can lay claim to that

I think this is the way he sees it:

He passes AJ and gets a rematch with Wilder, he goes for the kill this time. If he passes Wilder he can then go get AJ, loose and retire.

He knows it is one thing to fight Wilder and another to fight AJ.

With Wilder he has a chance, with AJ, not so much.

So he is just rolling the dice at this point.
