I'm sure he does or fighters would be jumping ship but this whole ordeal just seems like they took advantage of Wilder for their own personal benefit. If he ends up making all that money and then some down the line then good for him but in the short term we all lose out on a few great fights between Joshua and Wilder.

I'm just fed up with all that boxing is at this point, the Network and Promoter beefs and coldness is just killing the whole sport. I thought it may have gotten better when HBO went away but it's only gotten worse.

Espn has a few big names with nobody for them to fight, Showtime is so bad now that their biggest fight in 5 months has been a womens fight that looked like it was in a high school gymnasium and Fox is pushing PPV down our throats at an alarming rate now when we thought we'd be getting some great shows on there and Showtime.

I've been a fan of boxing for 30 years, since I was a kid, but I'm at the point where I barely give a **** anymore because I know I'll hardly ever see the fights that should happen, when they should.

We will be lucky to see Wilder-Joshua in 2020 at this rate. Same with Spence-Crawford.

he will do a ppv rematch with wilder in 2019....thats smart as he will likely come around that 7 mil figure for that fight.....

Now, Ortiz rejecting 7m is just su****ious to me. I knew he was worth more than 5 and it seems even Hearn agrees on that. Passing 7m + is hard to wrap my head around when we're taking about Ortiz here. I think other "factors" came into play.

Feels like something along those lines. I can see holding out on 5M because he's worth more than that for a Joshua fight. Everyone with boxing sense knew it and it was proven true when the offer got bumped up. To skip this though, when you're old AF and have been chasing title shots...

The 7 million was the offer he rejected , 5 million was only speculative .The 5 million would still be foolish to not take when he has a highest pay of 500K and titles are on the line. That's how money actually works a along with business sense.

I just saw this interview with Hearn saying the initial offer which Ortiz rejected was "a lot more" than the reported $5million.

He also says he's fed up with people lying about the money he offers them and has proof of what the real offer was, which he will reveal after AJ's next opponent is confirmed.

if haymon is "blocking the fight" its because he is gonna do wilder/Ortiz on ppv next.....which will be inhouse so he can pay Ortiz fairly well where hed make probably around the same figure he would have made for AJ......its an inhouse fight and helps give wilders next fight a bit of luster....which is sensible
