The only fights on free TV are PBC. In the time buy era, we got some pretty good fights, but now in the paid era, they appear to be giving everyone a showcase fight before building to bigger things.

Fans should buy whatever fights they think are worth the money. I just have no issue if a fan is happy that Crawford vs. Khan flopped, because everybody knew that fight was a joke and had it done well on PPV, there'd be no incentive for the promoter to present something better in the future.

Yeah the last year of the time but era gave us dope free fights like victor Ortiz vs Devon alexander and Seanie Monaghan vs marcus browne and who can forget the epic 50-50 fight between Robert guerrero and Omar Figueroa or Abner and leo teaming up to take on bums instead of fight each other. The end of the time but era saw pbc put on the cheapest fights possible to fulfill their contracts.

As for not buying fights that don’t being on ppv, Manny vs Broner and Spence vs garcia weren’t ppv worthy either along with khan Crawford and none of the three turned a profit.

mike Tyson was a different era. Back then boxing was more popular than now. Remember how many Tyson cards had Chavez and how many floyd cards had canelo or Leo Santa Cruz or Morales to help get more Latino buys ?
