you don't get pay base on what you make before. Market value will dictate how much. Base on that, a least 6.5m and no more than 8.5m. The show must go on.

Plus it would be a shot against PBC taking away another fighter for Wilder (and away from Whyte if WBC was planning to order Whyte-Ortiz mando). Smart to spend the extra $ and I would be excited for this fight although think AJ still wins. Again, may have missed it, but where does it say (not from Eddie) that Ortiz is demanding 10 mil?

He didn't the original poster made it up. Ortiz's team are silent and the only thing that has been said publicly by Eddie Hearn is that his manager has said it is too short notice but he will speak to Luis Ortiz.

Ortiz said after his last fight he would fight Wilder on a week's notice and AJ is an easier fight so he really can't turn it down if he's a man of his word especially when he'll get double or triple what Wilder would offer him.

O haven't read any demand from Ortiz.

If you are in the mddle of a city and your vehicle breaks down, there are lots of tow companies nearby, and you will likely pay ~$100 to get it towed.

If you are in the middle of the desert and your vehicle breaks down, the price is going to be much higher to tow you out of a bad spot, if you are lucky enough to even find a tow company to come help you.

Joshua needs a quality opponent like Ortiz. He doesn't mess around with the Tom Schwartzes of the world or the Stivernes, he want to fight the best out there who are not ducking him.
Ortiz is credible, available and knows that they're in a pinch.

He aint coming to tow your car for the regular fee. Miller was getting around 6.5M - 7M I think.
Ortiz is worth that. The extra few mill is in there as they know this is a tough spot for them being towed out of a bad spot. I think they'll haggle a bit but pay it, or close to it.

EDIT: I bough 6 tickets at $1600 each plus hotels and flights from Toronto for myself and some clients. I f&^%$ing hope we are not going to see Hunter or someone like that. Get it done Eddie!
The biggest payday Ortiz has ever had was against Wilder at 500K. If he can't fight for a huge 6.5, then he's a lying b1tch. He's done nothing but call AJ out. Well, now he's got his chance for life changing money. But he wants to play games and ask for more? Nah. He's a coward who doesn't believe he can win so wants to be compensated with ****** money to take the beating. Some fighter he is.

I hope Hearn tells this coward to f3ck himself and makes a note never to give this joke another chance. He doesn't deserve it.

Ortiz posted on his facebook. Unless that was made up?

                I agree with that.

Well, there's nothing wrong with Ortiz going in high to negotiate, even if they knock him down to 8 or 9 million. Nobody really knows what Miller was getting as it's never been officially disclosed, but it was rumoured to be between $6m to $8m.

With DAZN seemingly having a lot of money and needing to save the event for AJ's USA debut, and Ortiz being by far the best choice, it'd be a good look for them to pay it and get the fight on. The public's expectations of the fight are low now, so Ortiz coming in would make boxing fans much happier.

I think they should pay it. Joshua doesn't have the profile to get USA subscribers without a decent fight. Of course paying $10m to Ortiz is overpaying his worth, but DAZN have been doing that anyway, so they can do it with Ortiz

You're right of course. I am definitely NOT saying I agree with Ortiz, I am only saying that this is what is happening. For an old guy who doesn't have that many paydays ahead he is ******** here. If Hearn gives him the finger, what other paydays can he look forward to? None like this.

Why do you fools all discuss a topic that only exists in the ops dream world?

Ortiz never asked for 10 million.

Apparently Haymon prevents the fight from happening.

Yes, the oldest trick in the book...

Make big offers for an Undisputed fight, organise a US fight against a credible opponent, make credible opponent piss hot, talk up alternate opponent, mention alternate opponent wants more money.

I don't know why it's only the two of us seeing through Eddie. This was clearly all a plan to duck Ortiz.
