Ya know, Davis could just push for the Lomachenko fight after this and give us a great match up....One that I believe he competes with until the final bell, and one he may be able to actually pull it off. Mayweather Promotions need to let this supreme talent loose.
      I agree with the bold.
He should fight Gamboa at 135.

You forgot to add to that list Loma-Crolla, a 100-1 mismatch, according to some, not me.

At least, it wouldn't be 100-1 like Crolla. How old is GGG? Hopefully, you are not one of the ones wanting Canelo-GGG III.

Call the man by his name. Saying things like "Stank Davis" is childish.

This would be a badass fight if Gamboa was 10 years younger, but he's pretty much a shot fighter at this point.

Will Gamboa even make it past 3? I won't be watching to find out.

So Tank is fighting another smaller washed-up fighter?

I mean it's either Gamboa or Cherry right? But if he fights Gamboa now then that means he has to fight Cherry next or fight in a unification bout. I kind of rather see him fight Cherry next and then Farmer.

But the fight he should be gunning for is Lomachenko. Worst case he gets schooled and gets better like Canelo did after fighting Floyd. But I really believe that is a very competitive fight. Davis has legitimate pop and skills. Not sure if he's mentally ready for a challenge like that, but that's why it would be great if he can fight guys like Farmer or Berchelt who will test him in multiple of ways.

crolla is in the top 5. gamboa is nowhere near the top 10. odds arent based on how good your opponent is but how good you are perceived.
