No more UK stoppages! (Unless it's a UK fighter getting stopped by a US opponent)

Boxing is the gentlemans sport. The whole point of the 10 seconds to get to your feet is to keep it honorable. Ever watch vikings or any of those medieval shows with duels? One guy loses a sword and the other will hang back and let him get a spare. Same thing with boxing, otherwise why not just add a ground and pound if you are so afraid of letting a guy recover a bit.
      Well said.

No sport in beating a man down defenseless or waving off a fight because one guy needed a few seconds to get up from a knockdown. If you are the superior fighter you should have no problem continuing to fight after a 10 count etc, put him down again and finish him, or don't.

OP is just salty a champion like Fury has a granite chin and the heart of a lion.

if you beat the count that's all the matters. walking around for a extra 10 seconds wont help much in recovery. next time just make sure he doesn't beat the count .

That was the fighters only chance to put his opponent away right then! But since the ref is giving extra time, that split second of opportunity has now disappeared!!!

What the hell is the point of counting to 10 if you're going to give them 4-5 even 6 seconds to walk around???????

Does anyone else think walking around after beating the count needs to be done away with?
I agree 100%. The walking tests are unneeded BS that give the hurt boxer way to much recovery time and robs the other boxer of a chance to get the KO win. Some boxers recover quickly. They may be ready to go but after a couple of walking tests they have recovered. When a boxer goes down the ref should watch how he gets up and how steady he is on his legs and look at his eyes and then make his decision to stop the fight or not with NO walking tests. The famous Dempsey Tunney long count gave Tunney 4 or 5 extra seconds of recovery time and fans were angry about that. Many of today's walk to me tests are giving the hurt boxer more than 15 seconds of extra recovery time and they should just quit doing them. If there is a chance the boxer may not be fit to continue then error on the side of safety and stop the fight. Don't do these walking tests and then let the fight continue and rob the other boxer of his chance for a KO because his opponent has recovered during the walking tests.

Yes, safety first so if the ref is worried about a boxers safety then just stop the fight with NO walking tests. Don't walking test him until he is fully recovered robbing his opponent of what might be his only chance to score a KO.

Yep. ridiculous. If they were unfit to continue before the testing started by the time the testing is done they are ready to go.

Nobody said that but you. Boxers who score knockdowns must go to the neutral corner and nobody has problem about that. We're talking about walk this way tests that give the hurt boxer as much as 20 extra seconds to clear his head and recover.

Some refs do more than one walk this way test and then a few seconds becomes quite a few seconds.

The tread is a good one and was not started because of Fury who's chin is average, not granite. Average puncher Cunningham drop Fury hard for a seven count.
