Sounds like just another case of a foreign boxer trying to fight the best American boxer in his division, but that boxer being with Al Haymon, and Haymon going 'Hell nah I'm not risking my boxer losing to anyone outside of PBC. It might be best for my boxer to take their shot, but it ain't best for me.'

Bivol was mando to Badou Jack, a Haymon guy. Jack went the Stevenson route instead, refused to defend his belt. Then Jack got a draw, Gvozdyk got the next Stevenson shot, so Jack should have fought Bivol then. Bivol offered him the fight. But Jack wouldn't fight him then either. Went to fight a non-titlist, Browne, instead of the titlist, Bivol. A joke.

Then Browne dominated Jack like Im sure Haymon planned, so basically Jack was talked into throwing his career into the trash can just to help Al and Browne at the expense of his own career (Bivol would have been a better fight for him stylistically, and losing to a champ is not as bad as losing to someone that Hot Rod beat clearly), and now it sounds like Al won't let Browne fight Bivol either. This after Al did the same **** with Stevenson relative to Kovalev as well.

What is it with Al and the 175 division? It's not even the biggest money division (although it would be right now with the proper promotion).

Oh that's right, I forgot, Al does this **** in every single division he has a top 5 guy in. PBC stay ruining boxing as usual. PBC boxers are a joke. "I'm a free agent but I can only fight on certain networks. I'm my own boss but I can't make any decisions or even discuss boxing freely to the media without Al's permission. "I never ducked or dodged nobody" but I duck and dodge everybody outside of PBC who is better than me.

PBC is a joke. This would be the second Al Haymon WBA mandatory to Dmitry Bivol to duck the fight. The WBA and all sanctioning bodies need to simply stop putting Haymon fighters, or any non-serious fighters from any promotion like Anthony Yarde, as mandatories to A-level non-PBC champions because it's just a waste of time, Al never puts his guys in non-inhouse fights they'd be underdogs unless he has no choice.

Browne has his pick of Gvozdyk or Bivol. Let's see what he does.....

Browne is a fighter that runs super hot or cold. On his best day he can definitely beat any of the top LHWs or give them complete hell. But he's had inconsistent performances where he looks pretty average.

Bivol will be the rightful favorite, but Browne is a live dog here.

Whoever beats Bivol is going to have to find out how to not let him control distance, make it ugly.

Jack refused to defend his regular title over the WBC strap against Stevenson and also the lineal title? Man, that must have been such a tough decision. Defend against Bivol for less money, for not even the real WBA title, or fight for money, fight for the WBC strap and fight for the lineal title. Don't be a fool here, this was a no-brainier.

And Jack is a Mayweather Promotion fighter, but is not signed to Haymon. So yeah, you could have saved all that time making this post.

Browne knows how to make it ugly. He's also bigger than Bivol. I'm a big Bivol fan and I think that could be a tough fight for him.

I'd rather see a Kovalev unification and I'd bet on the WBA's greed to let Bivol have a unification instead of a mandatory.

Agreed...Bivol being a smallish lhw makes it even more interesting.

I give him props for beating Jack bit I can't shake watching Browne in some pretty flat and uninspiring fights, some against very average talent. I wonder how much of Jack showed up in the Browne fight and how much was taken out of him in his fight against Stevenson (and the previous wars before that). Jack kind of looked a little shot; he wasn't pulling the trigger on punches.

Anyway, the Bivol matchup would be interesting because Bivol's performances have been far less explosive as recent; decision wins against Chilemba, Pascal and Smith rate high but his offense doesn't seem quite as dangerous as it once did.

The LHW division is pretty exciting because I think all the top fighters could potentially beat or lose to any of the others.
