Deryevchenko will destroy culcay imho,the rest would be good matchups though. I only wish it was mall vs deryevchenko next or ggg vs deryev at least(since ggg doesn't want non ginger smoke)Deryevchenko to me deserves another shot against the champs,& I know hes fighting for the ibf but Culcay sounds like he'll be too easy atm.

I don't know why DiBella/Haymon didn't make Charlo vs. Dervy? I think they were hoping to get GGG, but he's signed to DAZN, so that leaves Jermall with very few options!

I think its also the long known syndrome of fighters not wanting to face other champs leftovers,esp in malls case after his last outing the last thing he wants is another close matchup,& imagine what would be said if he lost or barely won vs Jacobs leftovers. That said thats why I give certain fighters massive respect more than others,its like Canelo after mayweather,everyone said he got exposed & would duck fighters that are his stylistic kryptonite but he took the Lara fight to prove himself & still continues to do so to this day despite the hate he gets for not destroying the elite like other fighters do vs weaker opposition. Andrade is still avoiding charlo imho,& hes the fighter with by far the most to prove still at mw.

Korobov might be right about not getting a rematch with Charlo. I think the only way he does is if Charlo doesn't land a big fight or a decent name opponent. I'd like to see Charlo fight a top guy at 160 but if not a Korobov rematch would be cool with me.

All he has to do is handle his business in the ring, full stop; if Canelo beats Jacobs, he's either got to fight Charlo next or get elevated to 'champion in recess' on a busted knuckle.

Charlo gets elevated to full world champion, and he's going to need folks to fight.

May take 2-3 fights, but Korobov is as viable for a shot as any other potential challenger

I'm not blaming Nelo for nothing, he is doing his thing. Now what your ignoring is the FACT that Jermall has BEEN trying to fight the good fighters but they ducking him. dazn didn't offer Mall anything better than what they are getting so why pretend like they got a better offer when you know everyone takes the better offer.

Eddie Hearn & DAZN offered Charlo a 3 fight deal for 3 times more money then Charlo is making right now. Fight's against Golovkin , CANELO, Jacobs or Andrade.

Charlo confirmed it he said the offer was real. Why didn't he take it why turn it down?

True, he was training for a 162lb fight vs another opponent on the undercard, so not quite off the couch. But the Charlo fight was confirmed on Dec 17th and fought on Dec 22nd. Different opponent, 2lb difference in weight.

Note that Korobov hadn't fought at 160 since Andy Lee in 2014. Since then he's been fighting at 168, and the bout previous to Charlo was at 175. 162lb was already a stretch for him, so 5 days to lose an extra 2lbs, and to go for 12 rounds vs the shorter fight vs DeAngel. I'd say that's a pretty big ask of anyone at the top level.
