Matt Korobov believes he'll get another title shot later this year. The Russian southpaw just doesn't think Jermall Charlo will be the middleweight champion who'll afford him that opportunity. Korobov is convinced Charlo learned during their December 22 bout that Korobov is too high-risk, low-reward to face again, even though their 12-round fight three months ago warrants a rematch.

Korobov might be right about not getting a rematch with Charlo. I think the only way he does is if Charlo doesn't land a big fight or a decent name opponent. I'd like to see Charlo fight a top guy at 160 but if not a Korobov rematch would be cool with me.

korobov exposed Charlo. A b level fighter exposing one fo the Promotions top guys isn’t going to get a rematch anytime soon.

Charlo isn't getting Canelo or GGG anytime soon so I don't see why the rematch can't happen. In fact, Charlo shouldn't be facing anyone other than Korobov or Derevyanchenko later this year.

While that would be nice, the fight is Benavidez vs Plant. Let's hope that unification bout happens early 2020.
