What do you mean? NFL is the most popular sport stateside. DAZN has different sports rights in different countries so not sure what you mean here. That's like them entering the UK market and not trying to get rights to the EPL. That would make no sense at all.

DAZN has NFL rights.....Just in countries like Canada.

When did I ever say DAZN is failing? In fact, I'm saying NOTHING boxing does will make it fail.

Okay, so you are not from America? Makes sense, because the amount of DAZN threads you have been making is insane, and most who are interested in it are actually living outside of America.

If America is one of your targeted geographical demographics then you are going to have add sports content to the platform that the average American want to see but sadly and unfortunately boxing isn't one of them.

Im a fan of dazn, but they cant just be in the business of combat sport. It's unfortunately a niche sport.

Dazn in germany has brought a lot of streaming rights for football (soccer), because thats the most popular sport in germany and is the main reason for people subscribing.

I cant remember how dazn launched exactly in germany because they didnt offer boxing initially so i wasnt really interested.
But I believe they started out with american sports because international rights for basketball, baseball and american football are much cheaper than rights for football. Then they moved big and acquired the rights for football.

So considering their past strategy, its very likely that dazn US starts to acquire the rights for other sports in the future.

Boxing has one advantage for dazn though, because they produce their boxing content themselves. So every dazn fight is automatically available in all their other markets and no additional streaming rights are required.

They are already in Germany, and the Germans love boxing. DAZN streamed Wilder vs Fury live in Germany.

you're that Naive to think that more people are Subscribed to Showtime for the Boxing rather than its Original Programming?

If you introduce a new SPORTS Streaming Service IN AMERICA, yeah you probably should have content of the most popular Sports IN AMERICA on it

hells no. In 2020 they should have about 2-3 million DAZN USA retained (year purchased subs) - and about 4 million off/on month to month purchases. $20 was genius. Give or take about $400 million for 2020. Depends on how Canelo and Jacobs does. If it's a great fight, more Danny fans. Then there's Canelo Andrade unification, assuming Canelo still has the straps. Then of course Anthony Joshua. There are many casuals that will want to pay $20 for the Heavyweight matchup against Miller. These same casuals will surf the DAZN catalog and might jump on to some MMA. The dynamics are there. DAZN can't fail.

The fact that it's niche and provides MMA too... DAZN will continue to grow each year. Who knows, they might even rebrand the name in the future once it gets bigger.

When they make a boxing fight they control all the rights. Why pay for an NFL event that interests x amount worldwide when you can pay 1/10 that for a boxing event that interests the same amount worldwide? **** for buck.

I honestly wonder if they don't realize every country DAZN enters they have different rights LOL. Getting NFL rights in America doesn't mean they will be getting NFL rights in say Japan or Germany. I mean they can, but getting some rights in one country doesn't mean it transfers to the next country. Germany DAZN has the PBC rights I believe, and we know they don't have the PBC rights stateside. DAZN has NFL rights in Canada and obviously they don't have NFL rights stateside.
