Comments Thread For: Hearn: It's Frustrating, Done All We Can To Make Wilder-Joshua

Two different concepts that you're trying to draw a parallel to in order to facilitate an argument rather than a discussion. Wilder has a network/broadcast deal (multiple opponents) being offered to him now, whereas Joshua had a fight deal being offered to him. Its apples and oranges.
Fact of the matter is, both Wilder and Joshua have to agree to SEPARATE deals with DAZN in order for the fight to be made. That is not a reason for Wilder to turn the deal down, nor is it a particular deterrent. It is a factor in the decision making nonetheless.Comment

Can we wait until he actually turns the deal down? A whole bunch of online jousting because Hearn started a rumor.Comment

I’ll suspend judgement until this Wilder announcement.
I must say, it is hard seeing Wilder coming out of this looking good unless he announces something unbelievably impressive, Tuesday. But having said that, there’s not much point everyone shouting at each other until we have all of the facts in hand.
...(something tells me I’m failing to understand something fundamental about the nature of internet discussions).Last edited by Redgloveman; 03-18-2019, 08:03 AM.Comment

what exactly are you talking about? Do you have brain damage? So basically AJ won't commit to fighting Wilder and DAZN wants to use him to sell there streaming service with no guarantee of fighting for the unified championship. He'd have to fight bums like Whyte and Chisora to help out Hearn while never getting AJ in a 3 fight $100M deal. So Hearn has got to try and get the wool pulled over everyone's eyes and has been running damage control because AJ won't commit to the fight and is looking weak by avoiding Deontay again. Thus all the racists have come out to call Wilder names and pretend they know what he is gonna say on Tuesday off of what a shady promoter has been touting to the media. No facts, no class and no idea of what you are talking about sounds about typical for the irrational boxing fan that thinks along a doomsday divide and not a common sense one. God forbid anyone wants to use the wait and see approach when the announcement is made on Tuesday.Comment

Why not just make the fight on Showtime then since Hearn has already said it's a possibility. We will see what happens tomorrow because PBC could have finally given him the contract he deserves or he can say he will agree to a 2 fight deal for AJ onlyComment

That's not safe to assume. Canelos deal is tied to number of subscribers he can bring in."Is it guaranteed?" Well since it's with DAZN and they don't generate revenue per fight it's pretty safe to assume it's going to be guaranteed.
Stop making silly excuses and just stick with the wait and see to pass judgement line, it's about time you guys show some integrity and hold Wilder to account as well as AJ.Comment
