You do have an intriguing point before, Dirt E. But I still don't see it. Margie is perfectly WILLING to meet Floyd. Floyd is not.

If you want to be the man of the division, he should've collected belts like a good lil' boy or he shouldn't have moved up in weight. He can't move up in weight and not do anything, come back down while retaining just 1 belt and expect to be known as the man.

And you act like his 10 year reign at the top... or are we just forgetting about Mayorga, Forrest, Vargas, Mosley, ODLH, and Tito?

This is where the 2 sides of the coin come in.

Have you read any statements by PBF saying he wont fight Margarito? He has a contract with HBO to fight on their promotion in November. In the legal world he can't just breach a contract because he wants to fight Margarito in October...if he did... Hbo could Sue him for their losses which they could project at well over 100mil and whatnot and bankrupt him.

It would be nice to hear Floyd say he'd want to fight Margarito, but at the same time... I'm not crazy enough to believe he's actually afraid of him or truly worried if he got in the ring with him.

I do agree with Dirt E there. Margarito hasn't really payed his dues. He avoided all of the top guys with brilliant matchmaking from Arum. In his prime, he could of fought the following guys Gomez listed up top there.

IMO, Mayweather has been pushed and shoved, and with no offers in the horizon, he preferred to sit idle rather than take an excellent offer to fight Margie. Dumb move on his part. Mitchell last November and now Baldy or Mosley this November. Marking time until DLH does something. He wasted about a year waiting on Gatti, and now it is the same waiting on DLH. I know for a fact DLH won't happen because DLH is too smart to get beaten by a young gun like Floyd Mayweather. People forget that DLH is 1-5 (unnoficially) in his last 5 fights.

it all goes back to giving him a chance to fight. He wouldnt be moving up to 154 if someone had taken his challenges. If you are unclear go to the Margarito updates thread and you will see what im taling about.

Why is Mayweather not talking 8 mill.? cause of a contract with HBO? Its 8 mill. for Gods sake. Why would you want to make the rules when the rules are made by the guy feeding the purse?(AruM)

I hear ya, but Arum is the most powerful promoter in the game. Don't you think Arum could work anything out or am I just blowing smoke?

You are ALL VERY worried that PB will fight Margie. Hmmm...I do not have to wonder why, either. Scares you to death. Nothing PB has done so far is going to sit him down at first table, son. He is already as good as in the hall of fame, but look at some of the ham-and-eggers who also are. He's alreayd knocking elbows with Roy Jones.
Margirito isnt close to the world welterweight champ.
He fought for a Vacant title...

8 million dollars is chicken feed compared to what HBO would stand to lose off of a breach of contract, then chose to sue Floyd for lost earnings. So all of the champs have been avoiding Margarito. This ammuses me simply because it's so obscene. I guess he's just very unlucky that he could never get fights with any top names? Looks like we've got another Calzaghe in our midst

                    Bingo on that one.
