Ok fair point then, actually almost the same as my point.

Thing is, in parts he did look bad, and against a small, slow guy like that, it shouldnt have happened.

true i predicted and expected a knock out around between at the 1st and 8th round, he did disappoint me in that way, i thought he would get him out of there

He should have put more layers inyo his offense, he never managed to outsmart mikey. Shouldve thrown some more feints, use more of a mixup to confuse the guard. Mikey was reading everything.

Moreover, Mikey was a four divisional champion, who was the more scientific of the two, with overall better skills and the more fundamentally sound one as well.

As Erroll Spence, Jr shut him down totally and completely by outclassing and dominating him. Then to top all of that off he punished him also.

Yeah Mikey saw every punch coming because Spence isn't clever enough as a boxer. Had it not been for the huge physical disadvantage Mikey was at, he would've been able to counter more. It was clear Mikey was the superior boxer, just at an insurmountable size disadvantage.

I thought Spences movement was excellent. Mikey couldn't get anything going offensively.

This was a masterclass boxing lesson. This fight showed how great Spence will be. I saw a Floyd like mentality in there. He was thinking in there and neutralized what Mikey did best. He showed Mikey great respect and frustrated all night. I did expect a stoppage and actually the ref or Mikey's corner should've stopped it. But to the victor goes the spoils and as with all of Floyd's fights the haters will find a way to criticize his greatness. 120 from all 3 judges says it all

Spence didn't show us anything new, we didn't really learn anything about him. It was Garcia who was the disappointment in this fight. But was he? Maybe we just got sold on a fight that has always been a mismatch. Spence is a giant at the weight and Garcia is fleshy at 140. What did we expect?
