GGG most overated fighter of this Generation

Hey I'm for it they are both overated difference is the redhead will fight everyone and the GGG one will only fight the redhead oneThe fact that most people think he beat Canelo twice, definitely the first time, it suggests he is far from overrated, unless Canelo is overrated too, which a case could be made for. Not to mention he was past prime and mid 30's when it happened, while Canelo is prime.
The guy is/was one of the top fighters in this era. In his physical prime, he would've beaten Canelo more convincingly, that's for sure.
That said, he's not some ATG or anything.
Ultimately we can tear apart anyones resume if we have an agenda, right? if we really had an agenda, we could say with different/fair judges that Canelo could have 4/5 losses on his record. It is what it is. People are either the best thing since sliced bread these days or a bum.
If GGG is overrated then Canelo is too, when in his prime he only got a draw and very narrow win over an older GGG in fights most thought he lost both.Comment

A fighter that overrated when have been convincingly defeated by now. A guy that's over 35 years old and still competing at that high of a level against guys that are that much his junior says otherwise to me. It's unfortunate his level stepped up when he got to an age where most athletes are retired or are a performing at a level different from late 20s to early 30s.
He was never elite, just a decent fighter but media has made him overrated. The "he's old" excuse began when he fought his very 1st quality fighter (Jacobs) of his career which many people know he lost.

GGG is not the most over-rated fighter. Khan is.
You beat triple G you gain status, you beat Khan and it is expected for him to get KOed.Comment

But you talk shet about D.Wilder who 40 wins with 39 K.O.'s so how do you make sense?Knocking people down is considered the holy grail, not outpointing people. If you try make a case for Wilder doing so well on the basis of only knocking fury down? Wilder didn't even knock fury out, only knocked him down. GGG knocked people out, so that's even better than knocking someone down. GGG would have koed all of Nelos oppoenents, even if he didn't ko Nelo. He would have koed all of Jacobs opponents even if he didn't ko Jacobs.
So GGG isn't overated. Why aren't his kos, better than your points wins?Comment

Nelo beat him twice so it says Nelo is the better fighter period. Jacobs beat him too. You dudes had him at ATG. Overrated.Comment

And Triple L wasn't consistent when he stepped up the competition which were ONLY 2 fighters....LMMFAO!Definetely not. How many fighters at the age of 37 can still be ranked p4p and have close controversial fights with p4p fighters 10 years their junior? Besides mayweather and hopkins who retired I don't see anyone else currently at age 37 in the sport competing at this level. Remember roy jones at 35 was getting koed by bums. Consistency matters.Comment

Yes hbo did just that & look at where they both at now....LMMFAO!!If he is so bad shouldn't everyone already know it without the GGG hate club making so many threads like this one? The staff of Ring is made up of old boxing experts who have been studying boxers forever. Did HBO trick them into thinking he was good because he is number 5 on their top 10 pfp list? Most of the world thinks GGG is a great old boxer but the rest of the world must be wrong and you haters must be right. Hate him all you want but he is one of the 3 richest boxers fighting today so he is happy and content. That must drive you haters crazy. He will be a first ballot hall of fame boxer someday and if you are still a boxing follower you can crybaby about that too and tell everybody how overrated he is. Guys who say GGG is so overrated almost always think Canelo is great even though the 8 year older GGG beat him twice in the opinion of the majority.Comment
