I see people being surprise at the 6 fight deal, but it doesn't necessarily mean he's sees it all the way through. Could be done after three fights or even four fights. But the demise of GGG is grossly exaggerated. He's still an elite MW and just an elite fighter in the game.

They finally gave us more than canelo. Good. Fight 5 bums, legacy already cemented and KO Clenelo and we retire as the greatest fighter and fanbase of all time.

He would see it through IMHO, people said the same thing about Mayweather when he signed that 6 fights deal with showtime.

If GGG fights in June as expected then it meaning he would take one more fight before the end of this year, next year two fights, and 2021 two fights. And thats him done at 39/40. You can be sure his last fights would be against DAZN up and coming MW who need a name for themselves.

With the guaranteed dates for Golovkin's promotion company, it looks as though GGG wants to use DAZN as the launching pad for his life after boxing. He will recruit a load of Eastern Europeans and showcase them on DAZN.

I didn't necessarily say he won't see it through, but there is a chance he won't. I'd say it is likely he sees it through with the type of money he is being given, but if he's had enough then he will call it a career. This deal doesn't mean Golovkin HAS to fight six more times before he calls it quits. That's all my point was.

"Golovkin’s opponent hasn’t been chosen, either, but BoxingScene.com has learned that he will not fight an elite middleweight".

                Thats normal in his career

He always is fighting with bums

Only have two good rivals in Jacobs and Nelo

Good deal for an aging boxer. Not as good as Harper's deal ($330mill/13years) but GGG is younger and hits harder.

Put it this way , if GGG gets the trilogy fight , I don’t think he will actually come anywhere close to finalizing the six fight deal
Trilogy gonna have to happen sooner than later and once it does Dazn will be happy with all the coin it’ll make and won’t give a chit with GGG respecting the remainder of contract
He’ll be protected untill the trilogy and then , if he sticks around , be fed to the lions

He is never seeing the end of that deal just like Miguel Cotto never saw the end of his Roc Nation deal. Cotto signed a multi year deal but in reality he fought only 6 months under Roc Nation. A tuneup in June against Geale then the mega fight with Canelo in Nov. He never fought under Roc Nation again took 2 years off when he finally came back it was under a new promoter who he signed with just to get dates to promote his own fighters. Fought twice in 4 months and retired to promote full time. Cotto was 34 when he signed with Roc Nation.

GGG is older already has 1 foot out the door and basically signed with DAZN to get a tune up then a big money fight in Sept if Canelo beats Jacobs. The final 2 years of his deal with DAZN is more about him being a promoter then a fighter I would bet anything that he has no money guaranteed for those back end fights. It sounds like a NFL contract where they tac on all these years but are only guaranteed money for the first 2 years after that they can be cut for any reason and the team pays nothing.
