Whether it's Showtime, Al Haymon ect somebody will take a loss if they put this on PPV. You simply can't generate enough money from PPV revenue to pay Wilder the guaranteed money he will be owed. Even if you paying him HALF the money that is on the table for this fight from DAZN or ESPN you will lose money. Now Showtime and Haymon are all on board to absorb the loss to try and keep Wilder happy and in the fold hoping to recoup that money on the next fight which they are hoping is a big PPV. And rather then stake and lose all the money by putting it on Showtime or FOX they rather put it on PPV and whatever little money the fight makes will help pay a portion of Wilder's guarantee.

It's a bad position but it makes sense for Showtime/Haymon lose a little to hope to make that up and more on the next one. The problem is if you Wilder they want you to take half the money for the same fight, embarrass yourself with a PPV disaster, and no guarantee that the next fight will be big money either. DAZN offering to pay you more, you don't have to worry about PPV, and you have a contract to fight Joshua when it's over which is the big money fight you always wanted. He would be a fool to pass this up.

If Wilder goes to DAZN, then obviously it makes sense for Ortiz/Breazeale to follow. Jermall it does with all MWs there. But Jermell? Why would he? Al still has majority of the top 154 pounders.

haymon and showtime would lose a LOT on this ppv. Breazeale is gonna want to get paid too. I don’t think he settles for less than 3 mil.

I get them not wanting to lose wilder and keeping the key piece at pbc but they don’t have any big fights in house. An Ortiz rematch is their biggest in house fight and Ortiz looked horrible last fight.

Jermell and Jermall seem to come as a package. Plus why keep fighting for million dollar purses vs Tony Harrison, etc when he can come to DAZN maybe fight Munguia at 154 then move up to 160 and get some 2-4 million dollar purses. They’ve got so many middleweights he wouldn’t have to fight his brother. Plus even the Munguía fight could be at 60 next year.

I don't think they will come as a package. They will look at their situations differently. If anything, it gives Hurd more reasons to head over to DAZN if Jermall does.

Jermell for this year has the Harrison rematch and if he wins, then he has the Hurd fight looming. If he wins and unifies, then he may think of going up to MW. If not? Then he will likely just stay put.
