The current state of the research is such that it's impossible to give a conclusive answer to the question of intent though it's hoping further studies could make it possible in future.
This is what WADA had to say in Early 2018 (based, presumably, on Krumbholz' research, since outside of a couple of Chinese studies other academic literature is pretty thin on the ground)..

We can get into this as much as you like, man... I ain't gonna pretend I'm any kind of expert but I have some relevant experience and certainly know my way around the relevant academic and scientific terminology.
EDIT: MY bad - I was getting my Drs mixed up (gonna blame me only being half awake)... Dr Krumbholtz is the researcher in question, not Dr Eichner. Dr Eichner, frankly is not a researcher into Clenbuterol, but the head of a testing lab. How would he be able to give a definitive answer when the research is at an incomplete stage as attested by WADA own labs.
What Eichner said was simply that 'no Clenbuterol was detected' after having given the caveat that it was difficult to detect Clenbuterol in light coloured hair... what we don't have is anything other than speculation on the significance of this result. Quite simply the research is not yet developed enough to tell us whether Clenbuterol was to have been expected after the time elapsed and if so, how much. There's been no research done to compare the result to, so how can in be interpreted to mean anything at all?
The latest work I've been able to find is this presentation by Detlef Thieme here - https://www.wada-ama.org/sites/defau...um_oct2017.pdf, a leading proponent of hair testing for WADA, and even this contains almost no work on lighter coloured hair, though Thiem remains optimistic that further research will develop a discriminatory test.
-Achh.. gotta do the school run now. We can continue later if you'd like.
Eichner’s lab was the conductor for the testing contracted by VADA for GGG vs Canelo for the rematch camps. The report was already made public by industry in March where Eichner said it was “consistent” (as you stated) for meat contamination.
The hair follicle testing and 365 narratives came a month later while Loeffler was trying to continue pushing 50/50 or no fight. In that time Canelo did 365 and gave the hair tests. The results for the hair tests was to only appetite Loeffler and Abel’s demands. In the end we went with 55/45 splits if I recall.
Now aside from all this dumb shet. Let’s be realistic. Many fans have no idea that “post” means after. So when you hear “post fight results” means the blood and urine taken from the boxers AFTER the fight.
Of course we know why a Post Fight Sample is taken? Right? To see if the fighter was on something DURING the fight. Take the Toney or RJJ bouts. Because VADA wasn’t around back then, there was no pre fight (camp) Testing, so it’s rather strange that Hall and RJJ tested huge “10x” amounts for a steroid found in Ripped Fuel. Again, a Post fight test and no VADA (Advanced Drug Testing).
So then we talk about Canelo. The first prize fight where a boxer or athlete has picogram traces of Clenbuterol 80 days away from his fight.
So think about that. 80 days away with picogram levels vs a Post fight test “10x” the amount when molecular testing wasn’t even a standard. If you still don’t get that, Post Fight Testing was down in milligram concentrations, not picograms or what they call “trace amounts.” So for them to say Hall and RJJ had 10x the amount on top of traditional mg concentrations suggests that athletes had set a standard for typical rapid cases.
So let’s revise, 10x milligram results for a Post fight test versus picograms 80 days away for a boxer named Canelo who was already going to do VADA leading to the fight. Contador was caught with Clen in picograms WHILE he was racing in the tournament not 80 days away from his couch.
Do we finally get the concept of cheating vs possible contamination from supplements that Loeffler exploited along with the WBC. Keep in mind that Suleiman and CEO Goodman wanted an excuse to hurt Canelo because he never fought for the WBC belt since vacating nor did he accept those special art version trinkets. What does that mean, that the VADA execs weren’t having it that Canelo wasn’t paying those fees since he wasn’t part of the org. Non-Profit my ass.
I like the Canelo haters that say, “Canelo took advantage of the Clen and didn’t tapper off correctly.” As if somehow Clenbuterol or the contamination would help Canelo 80 days away. It’s ******ed. Canelo has “stamina issues” as is, why the Reynosos had Canelo take Clen for a Gym rat that wouldn’t notice heart deviations while training.
It is what it is. I ruled it all supplement contamination or meat contamination.

We’re talking about a 15 day cutoff in testing from notorious #1-2 P4P at a time LIVE on ESPN in a boxing era where they didn’t think Advanced Drug Testing would come into play, but 80 days away? Lol
You’d think industry reporters would know how to rationalize the use of PEDS to “cheat” for a competition. Imagine if tough man contestants lifting logs roided 80 days away in the hope that those butt injections would make a difference when they performed the day of. If Canelo was walking around like a fatass 80 days away while traveling Rome then maybe we’d have an argument for an athlete trying to cutt the fat. Oh no wait, we’ve got BJS for that just weeks away from a fight!

Danny Jacobs as a person is a stand-up dude. That being said, all this talk of judges and unfair scoring es no bueno, because it makes me think he won't bring the fight to Canelo and will fight to survive.

We will never know if it has offended nelo. Because Nel o never acknowledges being aware people thinking Ggg beat him in first fight

Name those two, and ask yourself if GBP took a gamble that VADA and the WBC wouldn’t have cared even though it was all accidental.
Take your time. Seriously, take your time.Canelo was exonerated by industry and VADA themselves that it was conclusive to meat contamination. So in the end, GBP had no fault.
Canelo isn’t tarnished. He never failed a post fight test as any athlete in the world does when “cheating.” People don’t know the difference of post toxicity and 80 days away of picorgrams lol.
Wether it was intentionally or accidentally the fact remains Canelo tested positive for a PED and for you to say he ate a dirty taco intentionally just to get out of a fight shows how ****** you really are!
And I'm a huge Canelo fan but I'm just keeping it real!
If Canelo needed to cancel a fight cause he needed surgery done you think he would need an excuse??? Think about it you fool!
Injuries happen in sports, it's part of the game! All he had to do is say that he's knee is bothering him and he's unable to perform at full strength because of it so he regrets to inform the boxing world that he's canceling he's scheduled fight cause his health and safety comes first and he wouldn't cheat the fan's by fighting at anything less than 100%!
That's all he would have to say if he really wanted to cancel a fight to get surgery done on his knee...
Some people would still biitch and moan but the majority of true boxing fan's would understand.
But you think eating contaminated meat in order to get caught and pull out of a fight makes more sense than what I suggested,...
You really are an idiot! 😂🤣
