The irony is Eddie Hearn, stated that Ortiz could remain mandatory challenger for the Joshua's WBA title but since Luis Ortiz refuse to submit the B' sample they suspended him for a year and subsequently removing his mandatory status and removing him off their rankings immediately.

Ok so in any case, AJ didn't duck him and he'd have got his shot instead povetkin if he didn't take drugs. No, he was initially suspended by both the WBA and the WBC. However the WBC lifted their suspension after Ortiz served four months of it and was then reinstated to challenge Deontay Wilder for his WBC title.
However, the WBA did not reinstate him because he refused to submit a B' sample for the initial positive test. So the WBA decided to suspend him initially for six months and then subsequently for an entire year and removed both his mandatory status and him completely off their rankings list altogether.
Their justification at the time was that Ortiz was a repeat offender for popping dirty several years prior in 2014 for anabolic steroids.Comment

I don't remember it in that much detail, but I do remember that Ortiz would have gotten his shot if he didn't test positive. The irony is Eddie Hearn, stated that Ortiz could remain mandatory challenger for the Joshua's WBA title but since Luis Ortiz refuse to submit the B' sample they suspended him for a year and subsequently removing his mandatory status and removing him off their rankings immediately.
So kind of lame to blame other people for not fighting him.
He's lucky Wilder blessed him with a title shot the first time. he barely deserved it.Comment

it’s already been clarified by Espinosa that no contract was ever sent by him or by finkle and was just a three line sentence by wilder lol-Hammer fought Wach in barely his 8th fight 10 years ago, Wach already had 21 fights.
-Hammer was more aggressive against Fury & Wach, he only tried to survive against Ortiz.
-Hammer went 12 with Pedvetkin and didn't get hurt nearly as often
-Duhapas took the Pedvetkin fight on a day's notice & Pedvetkin tested positive for ostarine.
Hearn is terrified of Wilder and even AJ doesn't sound confident, turned down a 50 mill offer, won't give Wilder fair odds, only called out Wilder when he wanted to give Fury the rematch, he doesn't even have a win as good as either Fury or Ortiz.
Offering 50 million when his highest purse was 2.4 million.
Wilder was offered 60/40 to fight in a packed 90k stadium with the rematch in the states
That’s real offer on paper with real ink.
Fury schooled your chump for 9 out of 12 rounds and was gifted a draw
Joshua beat Klitschko on his 19 pro fight he didn’t get knocked out.
Molina had wilder on ***** Street and struggled to knock him down.
Joshua blew him without breaking a sweat
60/40 is a fair offer to a fighter with one belt who cannot carry a ppv on his own lol.
And he going to 2.4 million fighting breazeale of this world.
Joshua is leaps above your chump and you hate it lol
Bum dosser is the perfect word for himComment

Ortiz is a good fighter, but he's just not making any noise and he's running out of time.
His team need to secure him a decent opponent, even if they claim it's tough to match him. At the minute he's fighting guys levels below him and beating them, without really making a statement.Last edited by Chrismart; 03-04-2019, 07:39 AM.Comment

Oh shut up.
Ortiz has never ducked anyone in his life. Name one top fighter he ever turned down? Never happened.
Yet not one top heavy other than Wilder ever called Ortiz out.
They don't want it with a southpaw Cuban with skills and power. Simple as that.

Are you ***ing ******? Where did I say he turned anyone down?
This is the midget mentality you have to deal with on this forum on the daily.
But if you do want to talk about turning fights down, then he did in fact turn down multiple offers from Whyte and said he'd rather fight on Wilder's undercard than PPV in the UK.

Keep kissing wilder's buttThat really sounds like a scared man, chico.Luis Ortiz Accepts Dillian Whyte's Offer To Fight on 12/22 in UK
By Ryan Burton
Last week top heavyweight contender Luis Ortiz responded to comments that were made by his rival Dillian Whyte to Sky.
“I offered to fight Ortiz years ago, but he didn’t want to know. He didn’t even want to know this summer and asked for silly money coming off his knockout loss to Wilder, and made it clear that he wouldn’t be ready for July 28, which was the date we had available,” said Whyte.
“Funnily enough it didn’t stop him fighting someone else on that day.”

Ortiz responded by telling BoxingScene.com that Whyte should man up and face him on the Deontay Wilder-Tyson Fury undercard on December 1st.
“Listen here young man. There is a spot open on this Wilder-Fury card, so why don’t you strap your nuts on and come face me, so I can show you a good ass whooping son,” said Ortiz.
After seeing the story on social media, Whyte tweeted at BoxingScene.com, saying “We can go Dec(ember) 22.”
December 22nd in the United Kingdom is the date locked in for Whyte’s ring return and a rematch against Dereck Chisora is currently beginning negotiated but a fight against Ortiz would be a match up that many fans would like to see.
“After much thought and consideration I accept your challenge. If you won’t come down to USA then I’ll step off the Wilder-Fury card and fly over to the UK and fight you in your own backyard,” Ortiz told BoxingScene.com in an interview translated from Spanish.
“Done deal. Enough talking that rubbish you speak. Send over the contract and I’m there. Now you’ve got yourself a real problem son. So now what are you gonna do?”
Ortiz’s manager Jay Jimenez prefers that his fighter fights in the United States but ultimately gave his client the go ahead and will back him since he is so adamant about facing Whyte next.
“I don’t want the fight. I told Luis no because we already offered him the fight here for the December 1st card and Whyte refused and when the WBC gave him a mandatory against us he also refused so why go on his terms and fly to the UK? That makes no sense. There is only so much I could do. As a manager my job is to give the best advice and be there for my team but he’s a grown man and the truth is the fighter is the boss so at the end they always have the last word. So I guess we will be in UK soon,” explained Jimenez.
And if a fight against Whyte doesn’t pan out Jimenez said, “if not Whyte I would like Luis to face Kubrat Pulev or Alexander Povetkin next.”
Whyte admitted that he didn't want to fight Ortiz because he thought fighting Ortiz was beneath him and that he thought he should be fighting Wilder next .
Then he argued Ortiz wasn't a big enough draw for him to fight because he doesn't speak English.Comment
