Better resume. Bernard Hopkins or Roy Jones Jr?

Bernard's longevity was truly amazing. You have to give him huge props. He was still a world class fighter at almost 50. But Roy has the better resume.
Roy went up in weight and fought naturally bigger guys. He then dropped back from HW to face Tarver, losing muscle in the process.
Bernard's best wins were against guys who'd moved up, and who were naturally smaller than he was. You've mentioned the win over Winky, but that fight was fought at a 170 C-W when Winky was a career 154 pound fighter.Comment

It has not harmed his legacy, because you can't take away his wins and everyone knew he was just basically fighting until he had nothing left 'His reaction after losing certain fights at the end of his career was as if he did not really care' he just enjoyed the competition. He probably did carry on abit too long, but for me his legacy is still better than Bernard Hopkins.
Hopkins probably could of match himself better near the end of his career, when there was opportunity to fight Carl Froch? He should of took that fight, because he would of beat Froch. 'Stylistically, but to the casual fans? It would of appeared as if Carl Froch would of walked through Bernard Hopkins' Froch or some reason wanted that fight also for a short period.
I rate Carl Froch highly by the way.Comment

It's unfair to say that Roy got the WBA and IBF belts unfairly.Jones was the better fighter and won the fight when it counted. Hopkins' longevity closed the gap though but not sure if quite enough.
Hopkins did better with Tarver head to head and Johnson but Johnson barely counts for Jones and he was a far better fight then than he was vs. Hopkins. Jones got Toney which was a better win than anything Hopkins did. Trinidad was Hopkins' best win and I'd say that would probably be better than anything else Jones did. Jones' beating Hill, Johnson, Ruiz, Griffin and even an old McCallum are better than Hopkins wins over Fishnets, Wright, Pavlik, Holmes, Joppy for example.
Like I said it's close on resume. Hopkins' was legit undisputed at 160 whereas Jones unfairly got the WBA and IBF belts and never fought the guy who was clear #1 when he got to the division. Now Jones would have beaten Michalczewski, but he didn't. That was Jones' 3rd weight class after being the clear #1 at 160 and 168 before vacating each. Jones was the better overall talent and won when it counted so he gets the edge IMO.Comment

Don't bother with that guy.“Avoided Calzaghe by not moving back down to super middleweight”. 😂😂😂 That’s the dumbest sh** I’ve ever heard.
You clearly didn’t follow boxing in the 90’s and you’re clearly thick as pig sh** if you genuinely believe what you are spouting.
I’m done humouring you, no more serious responses.
He's a troll.
He's been claiming for years that Joe beat peak versions of Roy and Bernard.
It wasn't funny the first time.Comment
