Hopkins had a better resume for sure
Better resume. Bernard Hopkins or Roy Jones Jr?

“Avoided Calzaghe by not moving back down to super middleweight”. 😂😂😂 That’s the dumbest sh** I’ve ever heard.
You clearly didn’t follow boxing in the 90’s and you’re clearly thick as pig sh** if you genuinely believe what you are spouting.
I’m done humouring you, no more serious responses.Comment

In the latter part of his career, all Roy Jones Junior proved that he was a fighter and warrior. Lions fight until the end, until there is nothing left? Roy Jones Junior was just the same. It was only Bernard Hopkins wisdom that saved him from the same fate. I don't think fighters ruin their legacy when they are clearly way outside of their prime being beaten, in a way it is quite romantic. Basketall players can sit on a bench and play 20 minutes here and there, the same with NFL players, the end there careers is forgiving.
Boxing is not a forgiving sport. It does not matter if Roy Jones was beaten by fighters who, could not really compete with him at his peak 'History is history, IT HAPPENED!'
Roy Jones Junior had a better resume and legacy than Bernard Hopkins. People forget that he was not far off breaking Marciano's 49-0 record. But that record was so insignificant, he did not care.Comment
