    You’re really not...

That desperate for “last word”. So you’re scared to quote me.

    Sad little man...

Hopkins. He had the better resume because of longevity and was able to maintain such a high level because a freak diet and lifestyle outside the ring and fight style that didn't really on speed and physical attributes that father time takes away.

But Roy at their peaks was the better
fighter but his style of fighting meant he fell off a cliff fast at a earlier age but kept fighting as a diminished shell of himself letting Hopkins catch up and pass his resume

        - -Popkins considered a joke until Oscar remade him into a household name.

Roy easily beat him one handed when it counted. He owed Dibella a $2mil judgment for skipping out the lucrative Roy rematch and Calzage fight that Oscar paid for him.

When Danny Green came over to interest he and Roy in a fight, Popkins said he'd fight the winner. When Green KOed Roy, Popkins reneged and finally secured the Roy rematch dreaming of sugarplum faeries. Instead Roy sent him squalling for the ref and couldn't stop bawling in a fight that shoulda been stopped for a NC when it was clear the ref lost control of the foul fest. He was still squalling after the winning the decision, but, hey, candy boys are always gonna like him as one of their own, and that's fine.

SuperJoe and Roy always rank above him on any sane ranking.

Good post, but Roy still had the better wins.

Bernard's best wins were against smaller guys.

His longevity was amazing, but I don't see how he beat better guys.

Hopkins and it's not even close. Losses factor in as well and Roy has some embarrassing losses at the prime of his career. At the very least you have to count the blow out losses to Johnson and Tarver against Roy, two guys Hopkins dominated.

                    You've got to be joking.

Roy continually moved up and fought across 4 weight classes, barely losing rounds in 10 years of dominance.

Bernard's biggest wins were against naturally smaller fighter's who moved up.

Roy also beat Bernard when it mattered, and Bernard turned down the rematch in 2002, to challenge out all the JMW champs instead.

Bernard's longevity was amazing, but Roy has the better wins.

Roy is the better fighter, but pure resume, hopkins has much more depth and significant wins.

Hopkins has better resume, Roy the better fighter
