probably wants it to be ppv so needs to showcase lopez more

also probably wants to wait as long as possible so lopez has more chance to win as loma is probably on the decline

but lopez said this is his last year at 135 and loma will probably retire at lightweight, so i think its extremely likely we get loma vs lopez end of this year or early next year

It would be cool but these type of things never happen in boxing. It's all marinating, tune ups, and 2-3 years build up to decent fights.

It would be a great fight though. Lopez is very quick and explosive with power in both hands and he would the naturally bigger fighter. If Loma is as good as everyone thinks he is, he should press for this fight.
Not sure if this is a serious thread but I'll bite. Why would you feed lopez to anyone when hes relatively unknown.

Loma gains nothing from beating Lopez.

Loma should demand the fight though for all the **** Lopez and his dad talks about Loma.

Like I said. It's all PR talk. Lopez will not fight lomo. He will move up to 140 lbs and use the I can't make weight anymore excuse to avoid Lomo.

Too bad the Garcia fight couldn’t have been made...that was THE fight. Instead we’re getting a waste of a fight in him vs Spence.
I have Lopez beating Linares, Pedraza, and Crolla, brutally. He may not have the experience for Loma, but the size differential and youth would compensate for that. It'd be the stiffest challenge around Loma's weight, besides Davis. Crolla is a REAL waste of time.

I think most fans wanna see this right now. To each, his own.

Lopez is too young to be feed to the best fighter in the game. This is what makes boxing so frustrating. Fights should happen regardless of where you are in your career. If you are the two best in the division, fing fight!

I'd luv to see the fight, but Arum would be dumb to do that. Arum will not screw him over like Mayweather was going to do with Tank.

And Lopez knows he won't be feed to Loma, so he knows he can talk crap and not worry about it.

Loma on a different level than everyone now.
To me, he looked almost the same level as Pedraza and Linares. Didn't look like the "best fighter in the game" in those fights, AT ALL.

Seems to me that Loma's decline has already started. Time to have some strategic (highest money) fights and call it quits. All those amateur fights and injuries over the years caught up to him, IMO. He does have a couple of good fights in him, however. Don't waste it on Crolla. I'd say Loma's body is old and worn out in ring age.

Loma and Lopez are the two best fighters at lightweight. Make this fight. Why all the excuses? It's easy to make and Lopez wants it tomorrow.

Why speak for him and say he isn't ready? He's telling you loudly he is. Lopez said he doesn't think anything of anyone at 130 and 135. Time to shut him up.

If Loma fights and beats Lopez soundly, I'll decorate both my avi and sig with Loma the greatest pics or whatever else we bet on.

Doesn't mean that I think Lopez is great. Lopez could get KTFO by a no-hoper, strong journeyman any day. The point is no one at lightweight is a better challenge than Lopez now, none. Strong, skilled young man.
