nah i totally realize that.....but i dont think that loma went into a 12 round fight without simulating them.....i know sparring is just a simulation and they dont really mirror the "real thing"......but loma and his team arent ******...they knew what they were getting into....im sure they were sparring 12 rounders and prob putting a new guy in there every 3 rounds and whatever.......they didnt go into this thing blind

that being said...im not knocking loma...i think hes great...i really do....just saying..i dont buy that excuse that people make for him....loma felt comfortable going into it....they knew what they were dealing with....they arent strangers to the sport

Actually Loma does 15 round sparing with different guy every 3 round.

        right....there ya go...

and im sure he was doing that before he turned pro and def ahead of a salido fight.....so he was learning how to pace himself over 12-15....

i like loma...i just dont buy the excuse fans on message boards make up for the salido fight...loma knew exactly what he was getting into....he obviously felt ready for it....i think loma just didnt account for how tough some pros are...i think he thought his skill would just overwhelm him

Let's make the Lopez fight first. There isn't any promotional divide. Easy to make. Let's do it.
the uber driver was on his way to beating mikey Garcia until mikey wormed his way out. WHO EVER FOUGHT A CHAMP IN THEIR FIRST FIGHT?

What a ridiculous thread lol Just feed your potential new star to your current star for no reason? This is why you guys aren't match makers.

There’s a reason fighter’s step competition/rounds up gradually. Thinking your ready and having the experience to know you’re ready are different things.

It would be a great fight though. Lopez is very quick and explosive with power in both hands and he would the naturally bigger fighter. If Loma is as good as everyone thinks he is, he should press for this fight.
The invinsible image was damaged when he got dropped by Linares. Made alotta people realize Loma got a ceiling and will eventually lose to a bigger stronger guy (prob at 140)

Yeah why not just have Teofimo a fight with Verdejo or somebody to raise his profile and have him fight Loma after the Commey fight?
