Because AJ transcends sports broadcasting and uses his time frolicking with Graham Norton or other more mainstream U.K. tv .

The comparison to interviews with LeBron doesn't make sense. LeBron is playing basketball every week and is therefore Infront of the media all the time. Joshua only fights twice a year and has limited time in front of the media. The reason Hearn is doing most of the talking is because he is at shows every week and gets asked about Joshua every week.

Joshua does quite a lot of media over here in the UK and he is definitely a crossover star with a fan base across all ages, colours and both men and women. The only crossover star in boxing here actually. Plus he has a large number of endorsements. Remains to be seen whether he can do it in the states. A few big wins will help.

DAZN and Hearn create white lies of course. Remember that there has never been an official deal contract between Matchroom and DAZN for 1 billion. Tabloids like the Independent or Daily Mail like to push what was already said, that Matchroom and DAZN’s collaboration is worth about 1 billion. This only expectancy not an actual profit figure. Of course DAZN will make these headlines because it has to promote a partner helping them grow. From 1 billion, what’s the split “partnership” figure between the two? DAZN is worth more of course.

Lebron also doesn’t have someone who speaks for him. Rich Paul and Maverick Carter aren’t doing 5-6 interviews a day about lebron the way Hearn is doing about Joshua. When Lebron is faced with the stage of failure or obstacles, he’s asked on the spot about it. Joshua has to liberty of having Hearn speak for him. No one really knows him as a person to relate to make his stardom the way lebron has. He’s also not willing to face the difficult questions as consistent as lebron. He was given the biggest offer of his career and went quiet for a month as Hearn ordered him to.

Not to mention when you look at other standout fighters who became cross over superstars, they spoke for themselves more often. Floyd (manny is more of an enigma bc he had Floyd) SRL DLH and etc. even Canelo has shown a bit more of a personality in putting himself out there compared to Joshua. Till Joshua tells Hearn to stfu and not show himself off so much it’s not gonna gravitate people to him the way lebron does.
Lebron James is not an international superstar. I never even heard of him till I saw Americans talking about him here.

Considering he’s a partial owner a Liverpool, I maybe expected more from the brits.

No disrespect to AJ but John Skipper is clearly back on the blow.

You mean Liverpool FC? Who are the other owners? Are they all international superstars?

He must be, calling some US basketball player an international superstar.

Or you mean different commentary? Matchroom Boxing is a UK entity. Whatever Skipper saw or sees with Sky deals with Matchroom justifies their investment in the USA. Since Hearn speaks on behalf of DAZN USA, it's all the same people. So in my eyes, DAZN USA having the rights to Matchroom (UK) Fights is basically DAZN UK.
DAZN USA don't have the right to Matchroom (UK) Fights. They have the rights to Matchroom (USA) fights. Matchroom USA and Matchroom UK are two different en******.

Sky Sports have exclusive right to Matchroom (UK) fights. Sky Sports is obviously an English entity and thus Sky's exclusivity with Matchroom lies within the shores of the UK. Thus their cards get picked up by DAZN, Showtime etc outside of the UK.

LeBron was giving a minority stake in Liverpool as part of his deal with Fenway Sports Group to represent him. For all intents and purpose Fenway Sports Group are Liverpool's owners and not LeBron who doesn't even represent the club at all.
