There’s one important factor that will stop Joshua from being the Ronaldo of boxing. He’s not good enough at boxing.
He’d have to be undisputed. Won’t happen. Fury will beat him and I wouldn’t be surprised if Wilder knocked him out.

The guy is marketing dream. Always easier to stand out when you are in an individual sport as well.
He may be a marketing dream with his fake persona and cheesy grin, but to be that superstar of boxing he’d have to prove he’s the best of the division.
Hand picked fights won’t get him there, he has to beat Wilder and Fury.

Good point Ronaldo is more dominant at his sport of soccer than AJ is at boxing.

He needs the victory to put him to that stratum and at this point who is that going to be ?

HW boxing IMO is shallow as hell depth wise. Compared to some of the lower weight classes.

            What's he supposed to say?
"This is an obscure individual who is one loss away from going back to irrelevance"

No, they have invested in him and would like to get their money back, and no, no boxer alive will be as big as Lebron or Ronaldo

Joshua is by far bigger than canelo in every other country in the world apart from America and Mexico... Canelo cannot sell out a fight in Africa.. Joshua would sell a 200k stadium if he fights in Africa.. Joshua is already sponsored by the largest TELECOM network in Africa called GLOBACOM, his advert and posters are everywhere all over AFRICA.. Check out GLOBACOM on YouTube and instagram

No freakin way because Joshua is mentally weak and boring. It's a disgrace to attach his persona to James and Ronaldo.

You are an American boxing fan so obviously you hear more from Hearn than you see Joshua on a prime time UK chat show. But he is doing that stuff.

No doubt he will be on US TV building up his fight with Miller in the coming months. Actually he already has been last year

As long as he is willing to talk about his "superior race" comments/Pan African ideologies on unscripted popular media channels like The Breakfast Club Power 105.1 & Joe Rogan Experience (btw, both Fury & Wilder have been on both those shows) then it will go a long way.

                  The question is: will he?

Exactly. That's exactly my point. They talk about Joshua like's he's undisputed and beat everybody. It's bollocks.
You can't be a superstar unless you prove you're a superstar. Ronaldo, Messi, Jordan, Woods in golf back in the day. Dominated.
Joshua may have the right image but I think he just isn't that good at boxing. If he beats Fury and Wilder, then OK he would have proved it.
