That’s all fine and dandy but in comparisons to lebron. Lebron global outreach is where it is because of not only his skill, but how he presents himself, the fact that he answers all difficult questions coming from 10 reporters a day, the amount of contribution his does for his neighborhood and the amount of work he does as a humanitarian.


Lebron also doesn’t have someone who speaks for him. Rich Paul and Maverick Carter aren’t doing 5-6 interviews a day about lebron the way Hearn is doing about Joshua. When Lebron is faced with the stage of failure or obstacles, he’s asked on the spot about it. Joshua has to liberty of having Hearn speak for him. No one really knows him as a person to relate to make his stardom the way lebron has. He’s also not willing to face the difficult questions as consistent as lebron. He was given the biggest offer of his career and went quiet for a month as Hearn ordered him to.


Not to mention when you look at other standout fighters who became cross over superstars, they spoke for themselves more often. Floyd (manny is more of an enigma bc he had Floyd) SRL DLH and etc. even Canelo has shown a bit more of a personality in putting himself out there compared to Joshua. Till Joshua tells Hearn to stfu and not show himself off so much it’s not gonna gravitate people to him the way lebron does.

Aj does speak for himself. I’ve seen him on many talk shows and speak on documentaries about himself. Plus he does a lot for his community too. Hearn really doesn’t speak for aj imo. Even after his fights it’s aj talking first and Hearn will say a sentence or two at the end. As his career has gone on he has started to take more and more control

Nah,all he is known for is having Ginger hair, being a drug cheat and controversially "winning" bouts most thought he lost.

Joshua has always been a fan of Canelo's style. I guess Joshua likes controversial wins.

It's cool DAZN thinks that highly of him but I don't see it happening. Canelo maybe AJ no lol Not saying that AJ isn't a good fighter or anything but he needs some big wins to get on that level.

If I had to pick anyone in boxing that has that kind of star power I would say its Canelo Alvarez although Joshua does come in st a close second.

Canelo’s lack of grasp of the English language will cost him in that respect imo.

Joshua puts in loads of work with the media. Trust me you will see it more now he is fighting in the US.

He also is constantly on chat shows and doing photoshoots and what not. The guy has basically not been out of the media over here since he broke into the mainstream.

You are an American boxing fan so obviously you hear more from Hearn than you see Joshua on a prime time UK chat show. But he is doing that stuff.

No doubt he will be on US TV building up his fight with Miller in the coming months. Actually he already has been last year

You didn’t address the part that also covers being asked difficult questions about his work through actual reporters. Not these boxing reporters. Actual reporters. People who don’t need to cater to athletes that Lebron has to deal with.

And you need to address the part where lebron doesn’t need someone to speak to for him the way Hearn does. Doing interviews in the media is what all athletes do. Being able to look at difficult situations and speak for yourself along with being your own person matters a bit more here.

That’s some of the biggest reasons why Lebron is so admired here because he doesn’t have a mouthpiece like Hearn. He puts his own criticisms on notice. That’s what gets people majority of the time to propel those to higher status.

Then why does IFL and Sky have more interviews on Hearn talking about Joshua than Joshua talking about Joshua.

NBA tv doesn’t do interviews with maverick carter or rich Paul on lebron.

What is the cost for Sky Sports, on top of that a PPV? We are talking Matchroom Sports. If Matchroom cards were "exclusive" then DAZN wouldn't have rights to even buy it. Or you mean different commentary? Matchroom Boxing is a UK entity. Whatever Skipper saw or sees with Sky deals with Matchroom justifies their investment in the USA. Since Hearn speaks on behalf of DAZN USA, it's all the same people. So in my eyes, DAZN USA having the rights to Matchroom (UK) Fights is basically DAZN UK.

The other day, Hearn said that DAZN have to bid on Matchroom UK fights like any other foreign broadcaster. I thought he’d already claimed exclusivity for DAZN but Whyte vs Chisora or something didn’t make it onto DAZN

They only have to bid if it's on PPV in the UK. A regular fight on Sky goes to DAZN automatically.
