Plenty of times. I don't know anybody else who likes boxing.

Have you ever been to a boxing match on your own? Is it a bit weird just sitting there on your own for 3-4 hours? Do people stare at you thinking what a loner?

Hell yes. Flying from the UK to Wilder Fury likely alone.

I prefer watching boxing alone anyway

        Many many times.

Travelled many times to fights across the pond too.

You're there for the fights so doesn't really matter who you're with.

And like others mentioned, you get talking to other fans anyway. I'm not shy but I'm extremely aloof so if I get talking to other fans then anyone in the world can.

You sound like a cool cat, I like to do things by myself sometimes too. When I used to frequent a sports bar to watch MMA fights I'd drive down by myself and drink by myself - sometimes I'd take a mate or two but I don't like conversing during a fight, I am always glued to the screen.

I get annoyed when people try and talk to me or just talk in general during a fight. Why the hell are you going to a fight if you aren't watching it? To give the appearance that you are some tough guy that likes sports and fighting?

SIDE NOTE: Watch out for this: Whenever you are watching a fight on TV or wherever, look at the females in the audience. Their heads are almost ALWAYS turned away from the actual fight and they are talking to their partner or glued to their phone.

If you are a man, don't bring your woman to a fight, it is cringe worthy. I treat a fight like a battlefield and women have no place there, they are a nuisance and DKSA ANYTHING, let alone fighting and the primal instinct it awakens in males. It's why I also hate female commentators, the high pitched voice is aggravating beyond belief when you are in 'battle mode'. I know it sounds weird because we aren't the ones fighting, but that's just how it is. Call it biology

This alpha as phuck post deserves an extra green K.

I haven't, but looking at the replies to this thread kind of surprised me and felt the need to respond.

Absolutely go, but I say you make it a mission to talk to at least five or ten people throughout the afternoon. Chances are at least a few of them will be friendly. Make a friend or two, ask to add them on Facebook, and next time you'll have someone to go with.

Last time I went to a big card was with a buddy in OKC, and a guy that was there alone who had chatted with my buddy one time in a bar recognized him, came up and said hi to us, and ended up sitting with us and talking boxing. He was going to a local card not long ago and our mutual friend was working, so he dropped me a line on Facebook and we went together.

My point is... there's nothing wrong with going alone, but life is about making connections with others. Boxing cards are way more fun if you're arguing with friends about who won the round.
