I used to go with family, friends & girls to fights but sorta started hating going with them cuz they didn't usually enjoy boxing as much as me. Amateur boxing specifically is something I sorta hate going with anyone who's not a hardcore fan cuz even the average casual fan can't deal with a 6hr+ amateur show let alone a random homie or gf.

So these days I tend to prefer going solo unless its a fight with lotsa casual fan interest. And its usually quite easy to not feel solo at a boxing event as I've found it easy to make friends there.

Only downside is if a brawl breaks out in the stands.

I've gone by myself to lots of fights. For me, the worst part is people sitting near me trying to talk to me. I just wanna watch the fights. People asking dumb questions like "Is this a 7-rounder or...."

In my experiences, I find that most of the people who attend boxing events don't follow the sport and know nothing about it. I wouldn't even call them casual fans.

I have never been to a boxing event with people. No one I know gives a **** about boxing and I never felt the need to drag them along. You'll meet people interested in boxing at the event, it's fine.

You sound like a cool cat, I like to do things by myself sometimes too. When I used to frequent a sports bar to watch MMA fights I'd drive down by myself and drink by myself - sometimes I'd take a mate or two but I don't like conversing during a fight, I am always glued to the screen.

I get annoyed when people try and talk to me or just talk in general during a fight. Why the hell are you going to a fight if you aren't watching it? To give the appearance that you are some tough guy that likes sports and fighting?

SIDE NOTE: Watch out for this: Whenever you are watching a fight on TV or wherever, look at the females in the audience. Their heads are almost ALWAYS turned away from the actual fight and they are talking to their partner or glued to their phone.

If you are a man, don't bring your woman to a fight, it is cringe worthy. I treat a fight like a battlefield and women have no place there, they are a nuisance and DKSA ANYTHING, let alone fighting and the primal instinct it awakens in males. It's why I also hate female commentators, the high pitched voice is aggravating beyond belief when you are in 'battle mode'. I know it sounds weird because we aren't the ones fighting, but that's just how it is. Call it biology
                Yeah, agree with all this.

I've been on my own a few times. I actually prefer it sometimes, as when i go with friends who aren't really into boxing they get bored , or just want to attend the main event.

I'd just try if I was you mate. No one will look at you funny, there will be plenty of people around you on their own. Just think what you would feel if you was there with friends and noticed someone on their own..you wouldn't give it a second thought, so neither will anyone who sees you on your own.

People sat near you will either chat boxing with you now and again, or just not talk to you at all. They won't mention you being on your own.

It's the same as going to movies on your own...nobody gives a fuck who you are unless you're a celebrity...once the lights go off people are watching the show not some random stranger..

And if someone/group are watching you I wouldnt feel weird. I'd think to myself "what kind of weird CUCKS would come to an event and stare at a crowd member"...no sweat off my brow
