Yeah I have and it's fine. Usually end up chatting with people there anyway or talking to some drunk hotties.

Have you ever been to a boxing match on your own? Is it a bit weird just sitting there on your own for 3-4 hours? Do people stare at you thinking what a loner?

A lot of build up is happening, and if one of those big ****s gets put to sleep, you will thank yourself for being there. The one possible regret is if the fight is a dud, but do you see that happening?
Maybe, your stories of a good time, will influence those around you to attend a live event. Then perhaps the next fight you attend, you can bring them! ****, you also might find out that you like being alone during live fights. Win/Win.
To answer your question I have been to Boxing events solo, and in large groups. Both have had postive and negative aspects, but I would not miss something I wanted to personally see because of a lack of entourage. Good luck with your decision. But I say, DO THAT ****!

Been to plenty by myself and it's fine. You probably get to focus on the whole show a lot better. Oftentimes my friends will want to stay outside in a local bar or even tailgate so long that they miss all the undercard which takes a lot of the buzz away IMO. It's as annoying as watching fights at someone's house and people want to channel hop or play music during the undercard.
Go to the fights and mingle with the hardcore fans and appreciate as much as the show as you can.

Rolling solo to anything (fights, shows, nightclubs, etc) is a rite of passage. You're gonna go out, enjoy yourself *on your own terms* not dictated or influenced by the people you're with. You learn more about yourself, feel better about yourself, and like others have stated it gives you an opportunity socialize with new people, especially women.
Don't trip off anyone thinking "what a loner", be yourself and most will think "that's a confident motha****a that doesn't need an entourage."

I went to Cotto vs Mayorga alone (my friends all prefer MMA). It was totally worth it. I was the only non-Puerto Rican guy in my section and everyone was super friendly. I also pregamed in my car like other posters have suggested. Try it once, you'll regret missing the live fight experience otherwise.
