Ohhh That's easy....Cotto's Corner, his Uncle funk up, they decided that there was no need to send someone into MargoCheato's dressing room & the rest is history. And let me tell you how it goes down in the dressing room, sometimes (i'm not saying all the times, but i've witnessed this) they don't even feel the fighters hand wraps especially when the fighter is considered the home field advantage as was the case here. The CSAC just sign off on the back of the hand. Remember this was a high profile boxing match.

But boxing is a dark sport on the political side, and even today with high profile fights, trainers benefit from any noise knowing it can cause controversy afterwards and it benefits the losing side. Even in Reddit forums, where people would question how Kovalev "broke" his gloves in by hitting walls. How does this general info get leaked? Would it have been John David Jackson and the people he's generally affiliated with? Remember it was Richardson who spotted Capetillo's wraps, the same Richardson who had Bhop vs Kova/JDJ.

We don't know if Capetillo has had enemies that they would leak info to GBP. From Roach complaining about Floyd's wraps vs Pacquiao. From Floyd seeing Maidana's gloves with no padding in the front knuckles. Cotto lost because of Margarito's style, same reason why he lost to Pacquiao. Cotto can't take constant pressure, anyone who thinks the handwraps had anything to do with the first loss, then you obviously don't know boxing.

Second fight, Margarito's eye was already ****ed up by Pacquiao, all Cotto needed to do was target it which is what he did and they stopped the fight due to the eye.

It's obvious if you know about boxing and have studied the sport, but I don't expect casual fans to understand that, you can blame the wraps, in the end your going to believe what you want.

I am no casual fan, I'm a former fighter & currently a trainer. And while yes you have a good assessment in that Cotto was tiring in the 1st fight & yes MargoCheato does have good stamina. But Margarcheato was able to slow Cotto down because of the plaster which was later in the fight like the 6th rnd. It is consistent with the hardening of the moist/wet wraps (which takes 15-30 mins to hardened) without the bricks Cotto's face does no get busted up. MargoCheato does not have punching power like that. Conventional wisdom will say he attempted to use Plaster wraps for Sugar Shane Mosley (facts!!!) who MargoCheato was heavil favorite to beat. and we are to ignore, Cotto a fighter he was an underdog against, that he's not gonna try to use the PLASTER???

Lol I was a real **** disturber one day and commented on a Cotto nuthugger’sYouTube video about the fact that there’s no proof Margarito cheated vs Cotto (the description claimed Margaraito was actually caught vs Cotto). The amount of hate I received was incredible. It’s amazing that when enough people believe something it basically becomes a fact. People are convinced Margarito was actually caught vs Cotto which is basically a made up reality. I was looked at as a complete idiot (and called much worse), because people can’t handle FACTS.
