I did some quick research the card Grossed approx. $24M in PPV buys, not sure about the live gate. Guessing 15M
the pay outs don't include PPV % or other income related to the fight. Just the guarantee. Pac vs Broner similar PPV #s. I believe they can reach tho's # again probably higher this time. So not sure where your getting $50 M in purses???
payouts for the PPV card, which starts at 9 PM ET:
Deontay Wilder (40-0Here are the , 39 KOs) $4,000,000
Tyson Fury (27-0, 19 KOs) $3,000,000

Al's fighter seem quite loyal if not brain dead at times or ? Example, Roc Nation supposedly offered AB (Bronner) $40M to sign with them. That's got to be looking pretty good about now for AB, yet he dis them publicly after the offer was made but has 40M excuses why he lost badly to 40 yr old Pac Man.
Hearn comes off as arrogant at times. I remember reading he was teasing about he was going to take off a $1M from his initial offer of $12.5M cuz Wilder looked poor vs Ortiz. Now it's bye by Wembley and hello MSG. So not sure what the official offer was to Wilder? Hearn wearing egg on his face as he let Wider get away and there go's the golden egg.Comment

Best move for DAZN so far has been made by DAZN not Eddie & thats Canelo.
Best move by Eddie for DAZN has probably been securing Jacobs on an extension post-HBO deal or it could be Usyk long term if he pans out beats Joshua & becomes a more mainstream draw somehow.
I think the consensus is his Matchroom USA signings have left something to be desired. His US shows have pretty much been trash thus far.Comment

No, this is a hard fight to sell on pursue bid. PPV of a rematch of a great heavyweight fight should be easy to sell, but the problem is both guys want big time guaranteed money.
According to the numbers (300,000 buys at $50 a buy) the fight grossed over 150 million. Who has the money to back that up?
Both guys probably want 50 mill each in the bank before they step into the ring. The promoter who wins the bid will have to put up a lot of money to cover the guarantees and the promotional costs.Comment

AJ & Whyte aren't signed to DAZN first off as far as I know. Whyte isn't even signed to Matchroom from my understanding. GGG is likely to be a DAZN signup not a Matchroom signup I'd assume. And the rest while not sucking aren't big sellers in the US where DAZN is trying to make in roads into the market.

Lol, yes and no, Those are only the guarantees = Purses. PPV and possibility other revenue probably netted each around $10M. My guess is whatever Hearn offered was a flat fee. Not even, Whyte was willing to take a flat fee for Joshua rematch, i.e. Miller is now in play or about to be.

I don't believe Hearn let Wilder get away, because I don't believe Wilder ever had any intention of fighting AJ. It was all just posturing on his part.Comment

Two things were key:
BT expected to make it ppv
Sky Sports/matchroom didn’t think it was ppv worthy
If frank lost the bid then likelihood is that warrington dropped the belt and the fight never happened
Eddie was therefore quite vocal on saying he fully expected to lose this bid. That’s why I’m interested how much the bids were forComment

Fury specifically asked Hearn for a flat fee offer to fight AJ, rather than a percentage cut, because he doesn't like his money to be dependent on PPV sales.

I read Hearn saying cuz of his (Wilders) performance with Ortiz he was going to take a million off of the previous $12.5M flat fee offer to Wilder, arrogant and it back fired! AJ don't want that work but he felt Wilder should get less. Haha ha.
Yet AJ hasn't fought in how long? He's running scared of Whyte who refused a flat fee, I heard $7M (Whyte) This is hilarious. Does Hearn Pay you to say this ??? He had Wimberly lined up for how long? 6 months but gonna fight Miller in NYC, Lmfao.
Yet your telling me that's what Fury wanted a (flat fee) but accepted $3m Purse and a slice of PPV for Wilder lol!!!! Seriously and this is Wilder avoiding AJ or AJ avoid Wilder and Ortiz or any hard work. I'm sure Wilder din't want flat fee but your excuse for Hearn is Fury wanted a flat fee. I'm not getting it.
Dose anyone else get this or are you just making this up cuz your on Hearn's payroll? Wilder is re matching Fury after KOing Ortiz and AJ is fighting Miller in US @ MSG after fighting Povetkin and then hiding for a year. Wow. Lord Help me lord!Last edited by P4P Forever; 02-06-2019, 01:24 AM.Comment
