My fellow Brits, why does Fury "get a pass" on being a drug cheat?

He was the victim of a botched stitch-up attempt by the then Chairman of UKAD, who, along with his 2 chief aides, left the organisation before a deal was struck with Team Fury which allowed Tyson and Hughie to carry on fighting in return for them not suing UKAD into bankruptcy.

The deal was that UKAD would withdraw the charge of refusing to submit test samples they brought against Tyson - which was punishable with a 4 year ban - in return for Team Fury dropping the law suit they brought against UKAD for false accusation and defamation and accepting a backdated ban for the initial nandralone charge brought 2 years previously.

Accepting the backdated ban meant that UKAD could not be sued for false accusation by either of the Fury cousins at any time in the future.

In a statement regarding this deal, UKAD admitted that they broke WADA guidelines by allowing too much time to pass between flagging a test result and bringing a charge on the basis of it. This made it impossible for the Fury's to defend the charge by referring to the source of the illegal substance.

Unlike some other prohibited substances - eg, clenbuterol - nandrolone can be produced naturally in the human body. Tyson and Hughie both had trace amounts of nandrolone in one urine sample, with blood tests coming back clean. That was consistant with what happens when nandrolone is produced naturally, rather than taken deliberately.
Stop lying to the masses. He cheated and got away with it. It’s over and done with. He’s back armchair. He’s back lol...

Fury is a cheat because he admitted it when he accepted a 2 year ban.

Tyson is very like-able and that's why people are willing to give him a second chance. AJ & Canelo are unlikable superstars who think their **** doesn't stink, so people are happy to see them brought down a notch or two.

I'll refer you back to my original post for the reasons why I'm giving him a pass.

You're giving him a pass because he's your favourite fighter nothing else.

However in the real world, we all know he "admitted" it because he wanted to get back in the ring and not spend the rest of his prime in court.

It's a shame how these Joshua fans are willing to tear down a fellow Brit just because they feel threatened by him.

What? Hughie was still fighting. Tyson could have too if he wasn't milking the "mentally ill" angle. Him not fighting had nothing to do with the nandrolone case.

Hughie only had the nandrolone charge to worry about. Tyson also had a charge of refusing to submit test samples outstanding.

In the UK, the punishment for refusing to be tested is a 4 year ban.

Fury had his license taken because he was claiming he was mentally ill. Nothing more.

Because UKAD did a deal and withdrew the other charge.
