My fellow Brits, why does Fury "get a pass" on being a drug cheat?

Because UKAD did a deal and withdrew the other charge.

He didn't get his license taken when he did the deal, the ban was backdated so it was already served. He had his license taken for claiming he was mentally ill way before. UKAD said this and said he could apply for a new one before they even made the deal.

He and Hughie basically got away with cheating unpunished. They played it well. All the mental health **** made the public forget about him being a cheat too.

None of that explains why UKAD broke their own rules by waiting 15 months to act on a flagged rest result. Or why they withdrew a more serious charge and agreed to a backdated ban with no fine which allowed Fury to carry on with his career as soon as he was medically fit.

I am an American who doesn't consider Fury a champion of any kind including lineal. He lost those titles by not defending them for years. Those titles don't last forever. You must defend them in a reasonable amount of time or lose them. I thought Fury beat Wilder 114 to 112 but it was officially a draw so Wilder is the WBC world champ not Fury. AJ is champion of the other 3 world titles. Fury is a contender.

There really aren’t many who believe fhe belts mean nothing because fury lost them, it’s just a narrative he and frank warren is holding because it benefits them. A very small minority (generally those who don’t like AJ) latch onto it.

Having said above - which given he tested positive, had retired and spent a significant time away - all of which in my opinion means he rightfully forfeited any belts, including any claim to lineal.

However, the way he is tested positive is obviously rather more unique than most. Firstly, he wasn’t training for a fight at all and his mindset (which is now very public) was clearly in a dark place. In addition the drugs he was positive for were clearly more recreational and enhancing and therefore the combination of those I think mean people don’t really consider him a cheat in the same way others in the past have Been.

Excuses, excuses and more excuses. Fury was caught with NANDROLONE in his system. We're not talking about some banned supplements, we're talking anabolic steroids - hardcore cheating. If you don't condsider an athlete a cheat even though he's been using nandrolone, then I don't know what to say.

Tyson is very like-able and that's why people are willing to give him a second chance. AJ & Canelo are unlikable superstars who think their **** doesn't stink, so people are happy to see them brought down a notch or two.

When it come to arrogant, entitled divas, Canelo is in a class of his own.

Blatently corrupt scorecards. PED test failures brushed under the carpet. His own personal weight division, when needed. Somebody else being ordered to fight his mando instead of him ...

Yes. And there are also posters at this site who get perma banned for posting private info about other members without permission, then keep coming back posting again with multiple alt accounts.

I think him and his team have been very clever. I still have my doubts about his "mental illness" but i would be slay for questioning it. My opinion is (And am a big fan of his) he knowingly took PED and was found out. He failed his test just like the rest of his camp/stable mate, and he went on to cancel the rematch against Wlad once told, from then on it was the mental health card pulled out.

I remember when he went on the rant about gays/religion etc For me that was all a cover, and to be honest he is the only HW currently that could get away with it. I cannot imagine any other HW right now getting away with what he did.

This is why i understand and agree with Wilder in his assessment of Fury and the media in the lead up to their fight. If that was Wilder then he would have been called all sort of names, his family would be called crackheads etc.

I'm American and tend to side with Wilder in the HW drama . But I give No passes to Fury . The guys a proven cheat .
Shame he's praised while Canelo was getting Shetted on. Canelo shoulda just said he was suicidal . Not only is suicide Trending right now but he woulda gotten tons of sympathy and support .
