My fellow Brits, why does Fury "get a pass" on being a drug cheat?

I ask this because I see a lot of the Johnny come lately fury die hardship constantly saying "doze belts belong ta fury" regarding Joshua's IBF, WBA and WBO

    "Doze belts don't mean nuffink"

So can you explain why furys nandralone exploits just simply get ignored?

I only really care about the British opinion on this as we are usually very harsh on drug cheats.

He doesn't get any more or less of a pass than other fighters does he?

He served a ban and now he boxes again, like plenty of others. People still talk about it.

Dillian Whyte has served a ban before and it doesn't get mentioned a lot.

Dillian Whyte got banned for an over the counter supplement so it's a bit different to taking an illegal steroid. At least in my opinion.

I am an American who doesn't consider Fury a champion of any kind including lineal. He lost those titles by not defending them for years. Those titles don't last forever. You must defend them in a reasonable amount of time or lose them. I thought Fury beat Wilder 114 to 112 but it was officially a draw so Wilder is the WBC world champ not Fury. AJ is champion of the other 3 world titles. Fury is a contender.

            Basic logic

He "retired" in order to avoid being stripped due to his ban.

Imo the stripping would be legitimate as he was caught cheating and won the titles at a time he was retrospectively banned.

He's actually lucky that klitschko fight didn't become a NC

anyway as I say I'm not a hater of Fury but his bandwagon new fans are rather annoying and choose to ignore facts.

There really aren’t many who believe fhe belts mean nothing because fury lost them, it’s just a narrative he and frank warren is holding because it benefits them. A very small minority (generally those who don’t like AJ) latch onto it.

Having said above - which given he tested positive, had retired and spent a significant time away - all of which in my opinion means he rightfully forfeited any belts, including any claim to lineal.

However, the way he is tested positive is obviously rather more unique than most. Firstly, he wasn’t training for a fight at all and his mindset (which is now very public) was clearly in a dark place. In addition the drugs he was positive for were clearly more recreational and enhancing and therefore the combination of those I think mean people don’t really consider him a cheat in the same way others in the past have Been.

And Fury got banned for eating a wild boar. If you're going to believe one excuse, you should believe the other.

Well no because we know the stuff Whyte took is common in pre-workouts while the wild boar excuse is hilariously bad.

The Wild Boar excuse has been proven bull**** in the past when other athletes tried to use it. It's an unacceptable excuse.
