That makes no sense at all. GGG's ribs held up for 24 rounds with Canelo at 160. Canelo is a natural middleweight and not a 168 pounder and he probably weighs no more on fight night or punches harder at 168 than he does at 160. GGG is also famous for his body punching with many body punch KOs and he is just as big naturally as Canelo. 160 or 168 it's the same fight.

              Hey, bro.

I did not watched your message

Yeah, this guy has fast hands and a very good boxing IQ, and only is a 18 years old prospect. He is a very good prospect, a lot of young fighters that were mexican national champions in amateur are champions of the world in the pro.

Like Canelo, Estrada, Berchelt, Ramírez, Valdez, Cuadras, Munguía, Rey Vargas, Jessie Vargas.

There is a very good level.

I've questioned Golovkin before, I won't do it again. He negotiated a 55-45 split by holding out and showed off his business saavy.

That's likely what's happening here as well. He's holding out for a bigger pay day.

And he's dead wrong about this, because he was given a fair shake in the rematch and probably a little bit more considering the controversy that surrounded the first fight and the judges being under heavy scrutinity this time. Golovkin is simply getting older and might be frustrated to not be able to perform better, so he decided it was worth playing the victim card.

I personally think 114-114 is a generous scorecard for Golovkin. It's worth noting that the judge who had him winning the first fight had him losing the rematch, and coincidentally he's the only "survivor" from the first fight. So the only judge who had GGG winning the first fight, is assigned again for the rematch… I have seen better ways to stack the deck against a fighter. The scenario of the rematch with corrupt judges and GGG leaves Las Vegas with 117-111 and 118-110×2 scorecards against him.

The rematch is only considered controversial because Golovkin is a fan favorite and a media darling added to the fact that Canelo is widely despised for the ridiculous scorecards in his favor in almost all his fights that went the distance and the creation of his own weight-class. Barring an unlikely knockout, a third fight is pointless.

What would you do in Golovkin's position?
I think Golovkin shoud move on and either win another title at 160 or go after a legacy fight at 168, rather than being given meaningless moral victories on forums and social media.
