If he believes he has enough money to secure his and his families future maybe it does make more sense to end his career on a win or two or at least in a fight where the cards ain't stacked against him... hell, or even a legacy fight at SMW.

Point is Gomez is trying to shame Golovkin into a fight which he which he almost certainly at this stage cannot win in order to try to remove the perceived blemish on Canelo's record moving forward. That beating GGG at 37 doesn't prove any more (and probably less) than getting the nod at 36 is pretty much besides the point. They want the public to see Canelo beat him clearly or know that Golovkin refused the trilogy.

What would you do in Golovkin's position?
      That's a damned good question.

Why is the split even matters here when Canelo is already set to make $365 mil for five years?
The PPV profit goes directly to DAZN, nobody else.
It's up to GBP how much they want to offer that GGG could accept.

Last time I checked Eric Gomez was not a manager promoter or spokesman for GGG. Seems like GGG is still deciding who to sign with. There is no news here. Just Gomez getting some cheap headlines and postioning for a negotiation.

Bamba is like dancing, it's a latin song.

So, he is saying that GGG does not want the third fight.

Also Canelo is by far the A side

Canelo should get minimum 60-40 split if not higher

                    What’s the issue here
The issue here, GGG hater, is that this is just goldenboy's side of the story and nobody knows what they offered GGG. It could be a very lowball offer like a 80/20 split or a 10 million flat fee. Maybe GGG is sick of getting screwed by Vegas judges and their generous scoring toward Canelo and thinks he can only win by KO.

He’s got some ego if he thinks 10 mil is lowball
