People are really underrating Tommy Morrison, they're quick to forget he suffered from Hollywood movies syndrome and then severe aids.

Each time Morrison got stopped as well was from a relentless combo where he's hit like 8+ times flush on the chin.

We like to boast about Wilders ferocious power...well I'm pretty sure a well timed left hook from Tommy would put AJ and Wilder to sleep (both have average chins from what we've seen so far) and would probably put Fury on the canvas.

People forget Tommy Morrison was a legitimate good heavyweight with one of the best left hooks in the business solely because he was expected to be the next white hope when if you look at his career, the era he was fighting in and the people he best....I'd say he wasn't too far off living up to that title he stayed relevant top 5-10 in an era of fantastic black heavyweights an era where AJ would do about as good as Bruno, possibly worse without Don King fixing fights for him, Wilder would be a Corrie Sanders with Stamina and Fury would be the only possible question mark out of the three considering his style, height and weight combined with a good chin.

tl;dr Morrison was successful in a heavyweight era where Wilder and Joshua would be top 10 contenders at best with Fury the only one with a chance at picking up a belt. Morrison being horribly underrated.

The movie came out in 90, filmed in 89 when Tommy was still a prospect, and he got AIDS in 1996 when his career was over...so yeah. If anything, being in that movie made Tommy a bigger name, and propelled him higher than he should have been.

He probably had it long before the public found out about it. According to him he was shooting steroids and may have used dirty needles. Another rumor is because of his steroid use his **** wouldn't get hard so he shot some stuff into his junk all the time to get it up and may have had open wounds while ****in out some dirty poon.

I assumed it was just the partying and sex. Guy was pretty renowned as a poon slayer who would rawdog strippers. Pretty sure when he announced he had AIDS he was married to two different women lol

No doubt if Tommy had lived a disciplined Bernard Hopkins lifestyle instead of partying, he would've been far more successful in boxing. But that's easier said than done when you become a movie star at 21 and have hundreds of young women throwing themselves at you.

                  He'd be David Price level.

The fact that an obese, 40 year old with a mummy guard was able to win a title speaks volumes about how weak the 90s division was.

Povetkin's boxing skills are underrated, imo, due to him being a short, stocky puncher in an era when long armed, 6' 3" plus HWs are the norm, at least in the top flight. You don't win Olympic gold without being able to box.

He definitely has more skills than Tommy, better stamina, and a better chin. Sasha could take punishment, shake off being buzzed or knocked down, and stay in the fight, even when he was tired.

From I've seen of Tommy, when he got tagged, or started to run out of steam, it was game over for him.

                      Come on, man.

Tommy at his best was a hell of a lot better than David Price.
