Gentlemen George Arias is 6'0
Will we ever see a heavyweight champion under 6ft again?

No.
Lennox ushered in the era of the Superheavyweights.
6'2" I think is the bottom end for a HW these days.
Nothing a 6 foot 73" reach man can do against someone 3-4 inches taller giving up that much in reach too.
People are saying Usyk is too small and he is a legit 6'3".
Size matters, weight divisions mater.
HWs these days are trained to stick and move, rock'em sock'em days are over.Comment

If they eventually start punishing fighters for clinching. No chance until that happens. Shorter fighter can't win if he can't fight inside.Comment

Lol at 6'4, 240lbs being a "small HW". You must be a casual fan or just not paying too much attention to too many HWs.
But as to the question I wouldn't bet on seeing a 5'11 or shorter HW title holder anytime soon I know that. They'd either have to alter the HW division weight in some way so that smaller HW's aren't as disadvantaged as they are now vs these giant mfers or he'd need to be an immensely talented cat for him to have some big edge elsewhere despite his smaller stature.
I guess thinking about the actual guy if you could find some Tua or Tyson like guy with speed, movement & power he'd have a chance vs the current crop of title holders. I think even if he could lift a title off of one of these guys with all his opposition being bigger than him & often times much bigger than him his time on top would be shorter cuz he'd be fighting a uphill battle every night win or not which would have to diminish & wear on him as time moved on.
I don't see that guy I'd compare to a Tyson or Tua around right now either is the thing. And also its worth remembering even as high level as Tua was in a smaller HW era then these HWs today he never won a belt so while I think his skillset is the one that could have won him a belt...the fact is he didn't.Last edited by Eff Pandas; 03-26-2019, 06:31 AM.Comment
