Mosley at the lower weights was nothing like what he is today, and many people even today give Shane a fair chance to beat Floyd. At 135-147, Shane threw fierce combos and had great stamina. He also had very good power...much better than Floyd's p4p. His speed is also just as good as Floyd's at that weight. If Castillo can do what he did, Shane can certainly get a KO over Floyd at that weight.

Obviously Floyd is faster and has better defense, but Mosley has good power and works to the body very well.Originally posted by six85I've met Shane and the guy has some really broad shoulders.. I think Mosley at 140 would be stronger and may be just as quick as PBF. Shane has a really good chin that has withstood the likes of De La Hoya's left hook. I saw PBF struggling against Zab in the first four rounds, even being knocked down (his glove had touched the floor) until Zab faded. Shane has more endurance than Zab. I say even right now at the age of 30+ (35 I believe?). PBF has a really great defense and a plethora of offensive tactics. In the end I would say, Shane by close decision.
It would come down to who can adjust to thier opponent and exploit their weaknesses efficiently, and ill put my money on Floyd to do that.Comment

Shane was a bad boy but alot of you get too caught up in the excitment. Sure Shane was super flashy and that always makes him look better then everybody but the fact is when you have a guy who is a overall pure boxing genius in the ring then no one is going to run through him like you guys say.
Its like you can have 2 guys who are undefeated and one may be super exciting and dominates everyone but the other guys is boreing and still dominates but just in a different way. When you think of them fighting in your mind the exciting guy will always win because he just looks so great but when they really get into the ring together, you can see that the boreing guy isnt undefeated for no reason and he has alot of skills to netuarlize this excitng guy.
Shane was very exciting but Floyd's overall skill and ability would give Shane mad problems. You guys never count D for anything but that is huge and Shane has none while Floyd is the best and that turns the tides in Floyd's favor easily if you ask meComment

People always bring up the Zab fight but anyone can see that Zab was on his game that night and when he's on his game then he has just as much skill as anyone in boxing, including a prime Shane. Then the main part that everyone forgets is that Zab is a lefty. No one ever talks about that, like it doesnt count for anything. Thats why he gave Floyd problems ealry until he figured him out.Originally posted by six85I've met Shane and the guy has some really broad shoulders.. Also, please stop talking down about Floyd's chin because that flash knock down against Zab. You act like he had Floyd hurt. His glove touched the ground because Zab caught him off balance as he was coming in and that again is something only a Southpaw can do. Zab didnt wear down, Floyd just figured him out and that was it. How can you say he wore down win he didnt win one round after the 4th. No one wears down by the 5th round.
Also, alot of people still pick Mosley now but thats not just because they think Shane is better. They just think Shane is too big for him. Not one person who picks Shane to win thinks he is pound for pound a better fighter. Shane just looks solid at 154 while Floyd cant even make 147 and should still be at 140. Thats why some still pick Shane to win now and nothing moreComment

LOL, DLT you act like Shane Mosley is some scrub who gets hit by punch after punch. He's been hit alot of times vs. Forrest (6'1'' welterweight who had one of the best jabs in the business and a clinical uppercut/right hand) and Wright (best jab in the business, he proved his worth vs a big, strong, hungry Jermain Taylor).
DLT, I don't think you realize how big of an issue size is in boxing. Mayweather was a little wimp compared to Mosley. Mosley can match him speed for speed and can punch more. He also can bull him, rough him up and Mayweather wouldn't be able to fend off Mosley.
This is a mismatch. It's funny because Mosley fought an awesome fight vs. DLH the first time at PRIME (keyword ---prime) DLH's best weight and MOVING UP from 135 to 147.Comment

I dont get what your point is when you mention that he got hit alot vs Forrest and Wright.
Forrest dropped him twice and Winky has zero power.Comment
