Is Canelo deserving of “Legend” status at 28?

Green? LOL. He had 43 fights including against 9 world champions. He was young for someone with so many fights, but it’s biased BS to call him green. He was a young bull and people were already claiming Floyd was ducking him. Haters were saying Mayweather will never fight a young monster like Canelo. Dude had a better resume en he fought Floyd than almost anyone fighting today.I don't think he's legendary at all yet. He hasn't had a signature win that makes legends. You can say GGG wins but they were close and not dominant enough to make it a legendary performance. I'd ask for KO win for that.
People being hard on him with Mayweather however are wrong. Mayweather took the fight when Canelo was green as f**k. The dude had zero experience to take on Mayweather and Jr. knew that. He also knew that by getting Canelo who brings in the $$$ during Mexican PPV time and lacked experience, it was the perfect opponent for him. Business man as usual.
I know Pac fans will never recover from the humiliation Paccquaio suffered at the hands of Floyd and then the embasssing lies Manny used as excuses, but that win over an undefeated Nelo was great great win.Comment

Struggled with Cotto and Lara and Trout? He cruised during those fights.No. Was schooled by Mayweather. Arguably lost to Golovkin twice (at least once for sure) and to Lara. Struggled with an old, undersized Cotto and even with Trout. Very good fighter but hes never beaten a prime great fighter without controversy. He largely benefits from favorable judging.
Oh ok, yes, he struggled chasing Lara around the ring given the chicken shiiit kept running away, literally.
He schooled Trout and even knocked him down.
Struggled with Cotto? Did you watch that fight? It was a seriously easy win where I dont even feel he broke a sweat.Comment

Fielding- ridiculously dominated him.
GGG- backed him up and dominated the center of the ring
Chavez Jr- Chavez took a beating from a dude who is considerably smaller than him.Comment

Yea 43 fights with ZERO amatuer experience.Green? LOL. He had 43 fights including against 9 world champions. He was young for someone with so many fights, but it’s biased BS to call him green. Think about that.
There are pros coming in with 100/200 amatuer fights.
Canelo didnt have any of that.Comment

Buffer was probably told to say that. I don't think he is legendary yet but he is getting close. I don't think he needs to clean out 168 to get there. He isn't a 168 pound boxer. He is a middleweight. A few more impressive wins over top middleweights should get him to that legendary level. If he did beat Callum Smith that would probably make him a legendary champion but What if Smith beats him? He is now a little less legendary.Comment

He looked great against Fielding and Chavez Jr. But dominated GGG????? You must be another GGG hater this board has so many of. Canelo won a split decision by a tiny margin of a single point in Canelo loving Vegas on a show put on by Canelo's promoter. Is that your idea of domination? If the fight had been in London or Paris or Berlin with good honest judges GGG would have won a UD both fights.Comment

Pay no attention to him. He is just a negative poster who likes to trash good fighters. The better they are the bigger hypejob he says they are. GGG and Cotto will go to the hall first ballot.Wait...you dont think theyre HOFers? Yikes.
Theyre EASY HOFers. Not even up to debate.
As for the topic, I dunno. Yes and no. I mean taking his age into account especially in today’s landscape, he’s got an unreal resume compared to people his age.
You know what? Sure. I’ll give the ginger his props. He’s a def hofer already and is supposed to be in his prime (though sometimes I wonder. He’s not a typical 28 year old hes been around a while at a high level. His knees seem to be of concern, ish like that. Those camps for all those 12 rounders are tough).
But yeah. He’s legendary. I wouldnt be mad if they said it about Loma either or Rigo at 22. Gatti was legendary for example. Canelo has shown us he’s been at the top level for a really long time and hes barely 28. Legendary doesnt equal atg so I aint mad. Deontay is legendary (as a puncher), etc. I’ll give props..Comment
