In defense of Charlo, he trained for Monroe.
However, he gladly let a guy with no training camp and figured he would get a blow out.
    Korobov fought a brilliant fight.

funny how when its a bad decision on a PBC card, the Haymon fan club immediately points to incompetent judges. But when there's a bad decision on a Top Rank or Golden Boy show, accusations of bribery and "FIX!!" are thrown all over the place....... lol

      not surprising........

Canelo would have a hard fight as well, and Korobov is capable of winning.

          Indeed!

Korobov won rounds with a his straight left alone especially in the first 5-6 rounds. Korobov has a strong case of winning at least 5 to 6 rounds and I would have no problem if he has won the fight.

Haymon wasn't taking any chances once the first Charlo brother didn't get the decision.
Hazard Sr is a Haymon shill with his bogus scoring of all 3 fights. Figures it would be Hazard Jr who would take another payoff.
That wasn't a payoff.... that was just Hazard collecting his promised 'retirement check'.

But seriously, I had Korobov winning by one round. And anything in THAT range is fine. But those insane type judge's cards need to spell the end for the bogus and/or crooked judges who turned them in. And it seems lately we rarely go one weekend without having a card with at least one fight with these obviously corrupt results. It HAS to end. These state athletic commissions need to STOP allowing this OBVIOUS b.s. It is literally killing boxing.

As long as scoring criteria remains ambiguous, and no value is assigned to criteria, then boxing judges are free to define scoring as they want.

If a given fighter goes out aggressive; out throwing and outlanding his opponent (landing say 9 of 33 punches) a judge can say that 27% is too low and not effective, and reward the other fighter for making his opponent not connect 73% of the time (Defense). Heck less aggressive fighter can land 3 punches of 10 (all of them of equal force to his opponent), but he'd be rewarded because of a higher connect percentage.

This is just one example, you can go on and on about ring generalship. The point being the scoring criteria is so ambiguous that you can score it in favor of two given fighters for exact opposite reasons.

                119-108 is Atrocious

When a judge submits a card this bad they need to be called into a room and forced to explain what fight they were watching. The New Jersey state athletic commission did this back when three blind judges robbed Erislandy Lara against Paul Williams. They were the only ones on the planet that though Williams won the fight especially by the margin in which he won. Larry Hazzard did the same thing here. He should be counseled and banned from working another meaningful fight for a specific period of time at the very least. A corruption investigation should also be launched.

It's stuff like this that continues to pull fans away from boxing and into the UFC world.

I mean it was a terrible card but the right man won at the end of the day.

Watching the fight from a decent seat in the arena, the highest margin should have been 115-112 Charlo if the 12th was scored 10-8. It may have actually been closer!
