Loma vs Mikey needs to happen next year for all the titles at 135. If Mikey cant make 135 anymore, that's his problem. Thats why any non-ducker would have done the obvious thing and fought tiny Loma at 135, won if he was any good, and then moved up to 147 to fight Spence. The fact he is trying to do it in reverse order just shows he wants no part of fighting Loma, despite being naturally 25 lbs bigger. That really sours me on Mikey. A fan of his skills, but clearly he doesnt believe hes on the same level as Loma, otherwise he would have taken the unification fight in his own weight class before moving up to 147.

the difference here is, with pac, he'll have to move up in weight where as for rigo, it was rigo who had to move up so that's why loma had no problem with that.
No the difference was the whole boxing community and Rigo were trolling 24/7 for that fight so he took it even though he rather would have fought a champion is his own weight category

Mikey Garcia looks so much bigger than Lomachenko, I think Mikey Garcia will give errol Spence a tougher fight than most think, i doubt we see Lomachenko fight M. Garcia. Lomachenko should fight The Berchelt vs Tank Davis winner (which will likely happen after Davis blows out Abner mares) People are not giving Davis any chance against Lomachenko, but Davis is a special talent with knockout power in both hands AND great hand speed so that would be THEE PPV for Lomachenko, Lomachenko should do that fight then MAYBE fight the much bigger M. Garcia

Difference is nobody really wanting that fight as bad as they the public that wanted to see Rigo vs Loma

I flew over to see Lomo in the flesh and he is a phenomenon. For me Mikey is also up there and bigger and stronger .....Lomo hasn't yet quite filled out at lightweight and should take his time here. I do like the fact that Lomo wants the challenge a lot are happy with the easier route.

Pac has been fighting at 147 for like 10 years and Loma is obviously small at 135. Even an old Pac would be a handful at this point for Loma.

As far as Rigo, Loma offered him a catch weight fight around 124 if I'm not mistaken, and the Cuban turned it down only to chase a fight later on after Loma had moved to 130.

Lomachenko seems to me like he'd fight anyone, I think after only 12 or 13 fights he has proven that he is not taking the typical road of bums until his 25th or 30th fight like most these dudes nowadays ...

and i dont disagree with that. but loma needs to stop bullshiieting then talking about he doesnt wanna fight pac because manny is old and will do nothing for him. which we both know is a load of BS!! if he beat manny now, it will boost his career up 10x!! loma just needs to keep it 100 and say pac is in a different weight class so fight aint gon happen.

he had no problem when rigo had to be the one to move up but now with pac, all of a sudden, "he's old" lol.. we both know if this fight happens it will be at the 140+ weight. so that means loma will have to move up and he doesnt want too. and that's fine but at least say it!! even pac said 150+ was too much for him after he fought marg. aint no shame in that! the other guy is in a different weight class. there is no shame in turning down a fight against a bigger guy.

Sometimes, I love Boxing Scene comment pages, and find them fun. Other times, it hurts.

This time... I kind of hurt.

I am simply stumped as to why this thread is rehashing Loma/Rigo. I have no idea why loma/Pac-man is an issue. I have zero idea why people say Garcia is "ducking" Loma, meanwhile he is ducking him by moving up to fight that scrub Spence (sarcasm, people, sarcasm.) I also have no idea why Loma is getting slammed for not fighting anyone, when he keeps challenging himself by moving up in weight and keeps fighting belt holders. He picked on a too small Rigo, but he also gets zero credit for fighting naturally bigger fighters at 135. BUT....he is ducking Pac, who is 2 weight classes above that.

Garcia and Lomachenko are both men. They are both true fighters. They are both offensive minded boxers who continue to challenge themselves. Why is either of these guys getting gruff???

                    Just. Hurts. Sometimes.

It's crazy to think that Loma and Bud are calling for fights with PBC guys, yet they both had an opportunity to face an ATG that was in their own stable!
Atg..... OTG = old time great. Let’s be honest before Pac’s last win he was finished. Embarrassed himself against a limited fighter like Jeff Horn. I would have given Both Loma but especially Bud no credit in beating Pacquiao . 140 is probably too big for Loma but Pacquiao is old. I recall Freddie Roach not being keen on the Crawford fight.

It seems when you hit your later years fans are quick to write you off and you are only as good as your last fight. I think Crawford splatters Pacquiao meat head around the ring if they fought and if he didn’t he should be ashamed because The Pacquiao now is not even half as good as he used to be
