Loma started calling to fight Mikey after beating Sosa. Mikey ran into him at ESPN studios and told him if wants the fight to move up next fight. Loma ended up staying at 130 and fighting smaller guys in Marriaga and Rigo. Loma said he would not fight MIkey in his 135 fight. MIkey has never called out Loma, just said if they want the fight to call him but not BS him with ****** offers. Arum will never make the fight unless its under his terms and on ESPN.

I've yet to see Mikey call him out. He always says he can't make fights with Top Rank and even Robert said they'd rather fight Loma is 4-5 years rather than now (about a year ago).

They'd never been in the same division but Loma did move to Linares (who Mikey called for then pulled out on) and Mikey fought a rather pointless fight with Lipinets and with Loma in the 135 division Mikey starts talking welterweight. Loma had been mentioning that he will be moving up to fight Mikey since about 5 fights ago when he'd barely had his 2nd fight at 130.

You're not being very objective. Mikey has never called out Loma, rather he put roadblocks up and excuses as to why it can't happen. One sounds like a guy with reasons why it can't happen the other sounds like a guy who wants to make it happen. Reminds me of Spence and Crawford and not surprisingly it's the Haymon clients putting up the roadblocks and fighting exclusively in house.

One guy knows how hard it would be to make a fight with Loma. It's easy for Loma to say he wants the Mikey fight but does he want the fight enough to say screw you Arum I'm taking the fight on Showtime? Both Loma and Crawford will never fight off ESPN if its' up to Arum. Anyone who fights them must agree to Arums terms and no top fighter aligned with another network who has their backing is going to agree to Arum's terms. It's easy to get lower tier fighters to fight them because they aren't a networks priority. Both Crawford and Loma can talk about wanting to fight top guys but until they say it doesnt matter what network its on then it doesn't matter. Arum talks about PBC guys wanting too much money, well he''s going to have to offer a lot if he expects them to leave their network to fight on ESPN.

Davis is 24, two-time world champ, trashed and KOed someone Loma struggled with in Pedraza dismissively, and is the best challenge around for the so called best fighter in the world. Think about that.

If Loma beat Davis, it would be his best win to date and could make top 5 P4P claim. Now he's somewhere in the top 10.
