Yes, he had a slight come back later, but it was not all that successful of a come back. Morales last great prime performance was against Paquiao.

A prime Morales would beat Loma. He would use his reach, height, and jab to control the much smaller Loma just as he did in the first Paq fight. Plus, he hits much harder than what Loma is used to thus making Loma much more cautious and reluctant to engage for long periods. Morales has a better chin than most of Loma's opponents and he would definitely not quit and sit on his stool.
