Thurman is coming off of a 2 year layoff and Garcia is coming off of a loss, who are they supposed to fight?

They're not bad matchups. Could they be better? Sure. But compared to what everyone else is putting on this is okay.

Is Top Rank or Golden Boy or Matchroom doing better than this or at this level or worse?

I get it. Thurman vs Lopez is fine because Keith is coming off a two year lay off, so that one is Ok. However, the other two are unacceptable.

Santa Cruz vs Flores? and Danny Garcia vs Granados? Really? Seriously? Are you kidding me?

These are two mismatches. Santa Cruz is just coming off a victory over Abner mares, he should be fighting someone like a Gary Russell, Jr. Or an opponent who is at least equivalent to him.

In addition, as far as Adrian Granados is concerned; C'mon, he is slowly turning himself into a gatekeeper for crying out loud. Danny could have done much better than this. He should be a fighting another contender.

Outside of Thurman getting a pass for fighting Lopez due to inactivity the rest of these fights are meh. Santa Cruz fighting some low level opponent when he should be fighting Russell Jr. Garcia like usual fighting low level opponents with 6 losses on their record. Garcia as I’ve said only fights top level guys when he’s put into a corner. He never willingly fights anyone good unless he’s pretty much pressured to. Porter/Ugas is a decent fight but obviously everyone would have preferred he would fight Spence.

Thurman = booked
Porter = booked
Broner = booked
Pac = booked
Ugas = booked

So it was Berto (waiting on title shot I'm assumimg), Alexander, Jamal James or John Molina. And I'm sure one of these guys are fighting the other. At least one of them.

Or he could have just sat on the sideline for 9 months again but people would have complained about that too.

These are mostly fights to setup bigger fights after these. Not sure WTF happened with Leo Santa Cruz vs Gary Russell Jr but then again maybe that is next...HOPEFULLY!

But if guys are rumored to be very active in 2019 then you're going to get soft touches/stay busy fights mixed with the Big Fights

ZERO problem with Danny Garcia fight Granados after coming off a lose, I think that will be a fun fight, Granados comes to fight win or lose
