It will happen when both Crawford and Spence tell their teams to make it happen. I know Crawford wants it- he could have stayed at 140 and carved out a great career if he wanted to. He came to 147 to get after the great ones. No matter what else is said, Spence isn't going to duck anyone in my opinion. He went to England to fight Brook. I would like to see him more active, but I see a man who sees himself as the best and wants big fights. He may see other fights as more profitable now, but Crawford will become the fight before long and I am betting Spence will be all over it.

Crawford will tell his people to make it happen. To me, Crawford is a true fighter. I believe Spence is as well. Spence will get on his people when Crawford becomes the most obvious fight to him. I can see 2020, but I am betting no later and would be not even a bit surprised if it does happen next year.

Crawford should forget fighting Spence at this point. A good fight would be him vs Prograis after he wins the WBSS.

By your logic, AJ vs Wilder should never happen too? Is that what you're saying?

"While Haymon has several options to appease Spence, there aren’t many appealing non-PBC welterweight fights for Crawford to take. He could fight Lithuania’s Egidijus Kavaliauskas (20-0, 16 KOs), if Kavaliauskas can beat Nicaragua’s Roberto Arriaza (17-0, 13 KOs) in a WBO elimination match on the Maurice Hooker-Alex Saucedo undercard November 16 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Aside from Kavaliauskas, the promising welterweights Arum promotes – the Dominican Republic’s Carlos Adames (15-0, 12 KOs) and Russia’s Alexander Bes***** (11-0, 9 KOs) – aren’t considered credible challengers for Crawford just yet. Adames also fights at 154 pounds, but can make welterweight, according to Arum.

Jose Ramirez (23-0, 16 KOs), the popular WBC super lightweight champion Top Rank promotes, could eventually move up seven pounds to challenge Crawford. But beyond Kavaliauskas, who might become Crawford’s mandatory challenger, finding formidable, non-PBC opponents for Crawford will prove challenging for Top Rank." - Keith Idec

"The Truth" spoke the truth! Crawford is on the wrong side of the street! Pacquiao vs. Broner, Spence vs. Garcia, and Thurman vs. Porter! PBC owns 147! If I was Arum, I would be making a pitch to Haymon, very nicely I might add, to have Crawford vs. DSG! Danny needs a big fight, and although I would like to see DSG vs. Ugas, Crawford vs. DSG would be infinitely better for both Crawford and DSG! Crawford vs Garcia! Make It Happen! ASAP!

Arum was talking about "talent trades," well here's a decent trade: DSG to ESPN for Crawford, Zurdo to PBC for Benavidez! Let's Get It!

Everyone as long as it's not Spedce, ha? You don't seem to have much trust in Spedce's capability to beat Crawford, right?

But late 2020 might not even be a realistic expectation for Spence-Crawford at this point. And if Mayweather-Pacquiao procrastination taught us anything, it should be that you can wait too long to make even the biggest fights.

Spence is a duck, cherry pick some fat midget instead of fighting Crawford.

You left out the part that Spence whooped a Brit in the UK, as well. You also left out the part that Crawford/Postol only did around 100k buys. Neither are ready for that fight yet. Spence needs more recognition and Crawford NEEDS to fight outside of Nebraska.
